Recording video with Pimax 5K+ or other headset with higher res than your monitor: how to get the correct picture?

I often PvP and always have Shadowplay on; the desktop mirror that I manage to capture looks more or less like this:

As you can see, it only shows the top-left of the screen.
Does anyone had the same problem? If so, how did you solve it?

Pretty sure the PC screen only displays the left-hand image from your headset. You only see (and record) that. When I used to capture gameplay when in my CV1 it was not so much of a problem with its narrow fov (I use Bandicam to capture gameplay). The pimax wide fov now makes this effect more apparent. I know of no work-around but others might.

Looking back at my old videos and paying attention to any left/right bias... I think you might be right.

In the second half of this video my view is noticeably to the left of the center screen between the pilot's legs.

It's not even the full left hand screen, but a cropped version of it.

I know with the Rift you can use the OculusMirror tool in the oculus diagnostics folder and record that instead of the game to get the full image. There should be similar mirroring tools for other headsets.
