Newcomer / Intro Recovery of stored assets?

I received this in my inbox today.

I have no idea what they're talking about. Except for a suicidewinder in Ay Indi, I have no ships/modules stored anywhere but on my carrier.

I hit the galmap button and it points to a system I have never been to, and shows the set carrier jump button even though I'm not in the Carrier Management screen.

Anyone has any idea what this is about? Is it a bug? Is it a new mystery? What is the meaning of this??

PD: interesting that there's no dedicated sub-forum for fleet carriers. 🤔

Your carrier ran out of money for its upkeep and maintenance costs, so it's been decomissioned (sent to the scrap yard) and you can't use it. You said that you had stuff stored on it. You can get that stuff back if you claim it within 3 months by saying where you want it sent to, otherwise they'll decide where to send it.

At some point in the past you have left a ship or module on that carrier, probably while it was somewhere else. Since then the carrier has flown to the system named and been decommissioned there. If you go to a station with a shipyard and outfitting (or your own carrier if it has those services) you can find them in the list and transfer them back to you. If you don't move them yourself, after three months they will be automatically moved to a station as described in the message.

The carrier referred to in the message (H5V-03N) is not mine. My carrier upkeep is covered for a little over five years, tyvm.

Like I said: other than this little fella, I have (and haven't had for months) NO ships/modules stored anywhere else but on my carrier.

The ship transfer tab shows no other ships. Likewise, my in-carrier stored modules screen shows no off-carrier stuff.

So that message makes absolutely no sense to me.
