Never played the first, and I no longer have the means to.

But I will definitely give the second installment a go.

I borrowed my girlfriends 360 to play some old classics, including RDR. :) It's still a great game but seriously how the hell did we even put up with that horrendous aliasing!? Lol

By comforting yourself with the knowledge that the PS3 port had worse aliasing due to even lower resolution. ;) Played it on the PS3. Great game, choppy framerates, poor resolution. Never going to play an open world controller shooty game without aim assist again (unless it has gyro aiming, kudos to Zelda BotW!). Controller + couch => chill out mode. Is suck at aiming at anything with an analogue stick even harder than with a mouse, especially when it's the size of a bird 30 meters above your character. No shame in assist. :p

Lack of a PC port of RDR is a damn shame. At least consoles this time may provide decent image quality, especially with the Scorpio or Ps4 Pro around. A PC port with decent graphics options would still help a lot to scale the game as hardware evolves.

Funny thing is that many older games had a ton of performance issues and I didn't really bother with improper frame pacing, frame drops, pop-ins, aliasing etc back then. I don't remember having issues with the controls. I always play games with controllers, even on PC. Heresy, right? :p

It is a huge mistake not to release RDR2 on PC. But whatever reason they have, it sure as hell better be a good reason. Im juat happy that I have a Pro so I can enjoy this. :)

As a huge fan of this theme I truly hope for late PC port like with latest GTA - come on RS, you are missing big market over here!

Don't understand why they don't do this for PC. Practically the same thing these days by my limited technology knowledge.

The thing I remember most about the original are the hilarious manimal videos on YT.

Part of me hopes they have similar glitches in this new one.

Initially Rockstar was very close lipped about GTA5 on PC too.
I hope I will be able to finally play RDR on PC.
I am a bit afraid that Rockstar will give it the same online treatment as GTA 5 though.
I am still waiting for the new story DLC they initially promised. Doesn't look like it will be released at all.

Red Dead Redemption is not exclusive to Sony, it's exclusive to last gen consoles, so X360 and PS3.
It was Rockstar themselves that decided RDR would be exclusive to consoles.

Ok, then it brings a bit of hope back because GTA 5 did go to PC and sold a lot of copies.
