Red Deer Talk

I love the red deer, it looks great and it fits perfectly with a wildpark theme. Besides, I am so annoyed with fans complaining that they would have preferred this or that animal ... It's a free animal in a three years old game. I would have been grateful with everything.

There would have been other choices that would have been equally good in my opinion: American black bear, another lemure, dromedary, pink flamingo etc. Maybe next year ;-)
I think it is quite obvious that the development team would not give a away an animal like a tasmanian devil or a porcupine, because they would require much more work. I would happily pay money for those. I don't really get the hype about the dromedary. Sure, it seems absolutely logical, because we have decoration for them and because it sure is a northafrican icon. But I would not take it as a "flagship animal" for a DLC.

Now that we know how much Work they are ready to put in a Anniversary Animal, I hope for the Possibility of one of my favorite Birds, the Green Peafowl. Would be a similar Amount of Work as for the Red Deer but I'm not sure how likely this one would be to appear in a DLC and we still don't have many Birds in the Game

So rarely it happens that species that I want are added to the game that if one day Père David’s deer would find it’s way here I would be just extatic one over the moon 🤩

I truly love this species more than anything else ever 💕

I think we do need this. This is also a conservation example. Alao what Elk, Sika, and Nara deer. 4 more deers, this game has endless opportunities to make to last for another 10 years.

The Red Deer looks amazing and it is a Nice present for the anniversary. I am not sure if I Will actually use it though. It probably won't fit in my current and only zoo.

I think the Red Deer was a solid choice for Anniversary animal.
It was very highly requested earlier in 2022. Some of that excitement faded with the Fallow Deer, but that actually puts the Red Deer right in the sweet spot between "highly requested" and "not very excited for" that imo is perfect for a free animal.
Clone-type animals like Sumatran Tiger, Black Rhino, Asiatic Lion, etc. would have also been great.

Could it be that you mean the Japanese Sika Deer with Nara Deer because I couldn't find a Species with that Name but I know that there's a Place named Nara Park which has lots of Deer

I was delighted with the red deer, I didn't expect it at all! I just hope the excitement for deer hasn't faded now, there are still many I'd love to see in-game, notably Pere David's, chital and one of the smaller species.

I would definitely like at least one tropical species

One of the American deer species like mule deer, one small from Asia like tufted deer or muntjac and extinct in the wild Père David’s deer - I still think it’s worth the spot because of his unique conservation status and the fact it exists only thanks to hard work and dedication of zoos and private collections.

As someone who would happily go without food for a week to pay for Planet Wildpark I was absolutely thrilled to see it. It gave me instant inspiration (I was feeling a bit stuck and uninspired) for my new zoo which is now really coming together.

I had no expectations for the anniversary at all and it was a great surprise. Given it was completely free I wouldn’t suggest another species would have been better. If I get a present from someone I wouldn’t think, if only they’d given me x, y or z instead.

Agreed. I'm mostly for birds in general but i'm not complaining and I think their choices for anniversary have been pretty well picked. Well known and charismatic animals

I'd be so down for the tufted deer for the small species, such interesting creatures! Definitely 100% agree with you on Pere David's though - essential animal in my eyes. Would have been a good pick for either the wetlands pack or the conservation pack so hopefully they can fit it in somewhere.

The Red Deer looks fantastic, and I'm happy we got it, as it's an animal I've wanted since the game came out!
Despite this, I think I'd still have maybe preferred the Dromedary Camel? I don't know, they were roughly equal in how much I want both.
