"A table in the database is locked"
Then the application suddenly stopped working.
Tried deleting the database and uninstalling-reinstalling. No success. :(

New forum member and BPC user here :)

I wish to contribute by updating information but I'm having a problem. I've successfully captured the data using EliteOCR 0.5.3 and clicked on the Export to BPC button. I then open BPC V4.3.0.3, select Add/Update Prices and the Add Commod Prices dialogue box pops up. I then select Load from EliteOCR BPC file, navigate to the file, select it and click the open button. Unfortunately the Add Commod Prices dialogue box is not being populated with the captured data :S, there are no error messages, it just doesn't do anything.

Can you help?

Hi,

Obviously Slopey could be the best to answer this, however is BPC aware of your current location at the time of you trying this?

Your location should be shown in the bottom left hand corner of BPC.

If not, make sue the logging is all configured and restart Elite and BPC.

Thank you for responding.

I can confirm that my current location is displayed in the bottom left corner of BPC, the path to the ED logs folder is correct and that the AppConfig file has the VerboseLogging='1' setting. I'm not sure if there is anything further to configure.

Hi,

When you click on the Add/Update Prices button, does it show the current system in there?

If the Station isn't already in the database you will have to type this in to add it.

Also, how old is the prices file, best to add this whilst you're still at that Station.

Hello Slopey, a few things from me again:
1. If i do a any to any radius search after a while the BPC crash with the error run out of memory ... but i still have more than 8 gb RAM free :-/

2. If i wanna do a manual delete from data older then x hours the program wanna check the correct timestamp why? The program last time i tried it run more then 8 hous an is not finished to check? If i then press the button where the BPC count up after short time i got error with message: one table locked.

3. If i do a search and say: All commodities but without slaves, why BPC dont use that filter for round trip too? He tells me then round trip bring back slaves. Will there be in future make use the filter for round trip too?

Hope can understand my bad english :)

Hi Engadine

In the Add Commod Prices dialogue box both the correct system, Eravate, and station, Ackerman Market, are displayed.

The *.pbc files were created at 11:50 and 11:55 this morning. That's a little under 2 hours ago now. That's how long I've been trying to get the data to load in the Add Commod Prices screen but without success, and I haven't moved from the station.

Sorry, but it don't work, I also trying uninstall and new download, but the link is to version 4.3.0.0 and program now crashes after that the popup reports the same message of database locked. :(.
Updated to 4.3.0.3 with the wyupdate.exe, but still popup the message of database locked.

Firstly, patience of a saint if you're still there :D

Have you tried doing the complete capture from scratch?

Can't say I've ever experienced the problem you're currently having.

Delete the ED4.db from the BPC folder (or rename it). Then restart the BPC. If you get the locked message, click Ok and wait for 5-10 mins, then quit and restart the BPC. You're likely quitting to early, so next time you launch it, it locks the table again which can happen on slower machines.

You should re-OCR the data and try again. The BPC won't import anything over about 30 mins old iirc.

If first you don't succeed, try, try and try again :)

Just tried again from scratch. Captured the data with EliteOCR, Export to BPC. Clicked on the Add/Update Prices button in BPC to open the Add Commod Prices dialogue box, then click Load from EliteOCR BPC file, navigated to the file, selected it and clicked the open button. I was returned to the Add Commod Prices dialogue, but alas no data :S

I've looked at some videos on YouTube and I seem to be doing everything correctly.

I can barely click on the OK button, and the program suddenly crashes.

I've found the problem!! I watched another YouTube video, went though each step and identified my error.

I was selecting the wrong station on the Add Commod Prices dialogue box. For some reason I was thinking I was at Ackerman Market and I was at Mcmahon Dock. The fact that EliteOCR was showing me the station just didn't register.

Oh boy, do I feel stupid :eek:
