Hi all,

I'll make my first post here in this forum and greet all Commanders.

I fiddled around a bit with the 2 programs and found out, with the latest versions of both, that the import of data from OCR to Slopey is broken in case of using the local db as a poster before said in a YT-Video. In my case, I can't even import the data in a fresh empty db. In the import-window I can't see the commodities. It is only possible, when I use the public db instead. I used the english version of ED with english screenshots.

On the other hand, I would like to use both programs in german with screenshots of my german ED-client. I tried to OCR the Screenies in german and edited the Commodities-db of Elite-OCR to match the correct names. First I deleted the english commoditynames out of the list. The OCR-ratio was at least about 70%. Not very suitable to use often, cuz I had to correct a lot.

I would like to use Slopey as well with german commodities only in local db-mode. So this won't disturb the public uploaded data.
In my opinion, it should doesn't matter to both programs in what language they process the data, as long as it is secured, that the different language data is not mixed.

Is that possible to implement?

Greetings,
Pequi

Slopey, I love the tool. :) Two things...

1. if a price is submitted with a new timestamp (yet the price is still the same as an older timestamp) it seems to keep the older timestamp. Because the price is being updated, even if the prices and amounts remain the same, it should take the newer timestamp, so we know that it has been updated more recently with accurate information.

and...

2. Is there a way to "flag" incorrect names for stations or commodity goods. Also can we flag commodity goods that are in the wrong category. This would help greatly. currently commodity goods like Silver and Cobalt are listed in the wrong category, so it slows down the manual data entry. ALSO... Some people have entered in wrong station names. For example: LHS 3479 has a station named "Blenkinsop Landing" ... but others have entered in data for a "Blenkinsop" and also a "Blenkinsop Lanoing" (Misspelled 'Landing'). Is there a way to flag those for removal as well?

Much Love Slopey. Again, great tool! (I just wish there was a way to click a single button and say, update all the commodity goods at the station I'm currently docked, then upload it. Instead of entering it in by hand... It's like manually writing golf or bowling scores. (When today we have modern technology to speed this stuff along. :) Either way, I love this collaborative "Traders Tool"

Peace!

I have been using this yesterday and made a big difference to my profitability, also I love the computer voice it adds, just fab.

had a quick look through thuis thread, does the android give prices too does it work similar to the windows version, last question will ED android version do the same thing or is it something different?

I JUST DON'T BELIEVE IT! Same clown has overwritten the leesti prices again Indite does not sell for that, it never sold for that, stop updating it with OCR scans unless you know what you are doing.

I am having a problem with the "i Bootis" system. Clicking the "current" button it shows as "37 Xi Bootis". It will not do any searches to & from this system. I first noticed a couple of days ago. It is still happening since the update. The system data tab shows all of the data there.

One question concerning the Offline Mode ( Auto update disabled ). As far as i understand it i can only see my data which would be ok for me.
My question is will my data be shared with the BPC Market tool Server if i disable auto update or is the data that i enter exclusivly for me ?

Thanks for reply!

Cheers

I'm having problem with importing .csv get a error that says "commodity not found: Wine" also a couple of other commodities.
The commodities exist as demand in the station.
For example I try to import for System Altair and Station Solo Orbiter,
This is the .csv.

Unable to add CSV File created by EliteOCR.
In Offline mode /Autoupdate Disabled BPC version 4.1.2.0 cleared database.
Tryed to add data.
When i try to add / Update Prices the Systemname Dian Cech and it is greyed out. I'm unable to change it. The only option i have is to enter Station name.
When i enter the Station name manualy and try to load the CSV File it says: "The System value in the CSV doenst not match the Sytem Set in the BPC"
Can anybody tell me where i went wrong?

Cheers

Not sure now, but at one time it was case sensitive. e.g "System Name" in the CSV had to match the BPC. so "system name" would be wrong. But I think that was fixed. Do you have the newest EliteOCR ? (0.3.6)

If youre using 3.6, you still must be pretty exact with all your names and fields...it took me a good few hours to figure out why it wasnt importing.

For each commodity line:

Make sure ALL your system name files are in place and spelled exactly like they are in game.. you will have to do with manually for each page of the OCR you are going to.

Make SURE its spelling the station name correctly. Sometimes it does not.

your file name has to be the name, spelled exactly, of the station you are at. OCR should do this for.
