It's like that on purpose. Slopey doesn't want people inputting prices for stations they're not currently at to prevent incorrect information from getting into the database.

Edit: Just got around to updating to the latest version and now Parsing has slowed to a crawl. It's even slower than a few versions ago. Over a minute in and I'm not even at 10% yet. The last version would've been done by now.

Edit 2: I just did a clean reinstall and it's running much faster now. Still a bit slower than last version, though.

Right, i gotta say something here...i been play'n ED for bout...hmmm...6 months, maybe one or two days out, but about that and, ...if anyone out there ain't got this tool, they;re miss'n out big time.
I mean, really. this has got to be the pups nuts, this is amazing, thank you, Slopey.
Just wish i'd have gone and DL'd it sooner.

Great tool but sometimes it seems there is data that is wrong, for example i get a slaves bought at one station and sold at the same which should net a 159k profit and that just cant be right :p So maybe ad a button to report bad data and if enough report the same it get's removed?

EliteOCR is stupid bad about recognizing station names. Didn't see the dropdown to ensure correct interpretation of station name for every single screenshot you OCR.

Round Trip?

Just downloaded the Windows app and I have a few questions:

  • How do I calculate round trips? I only see one-way results when I press Search.
  • How do I search for routes initiating from any system within X light years from my current system?

Ultimately what I would like to do would be to search all systems for the most profitable route per LY travelled. That appears to be beyond the capabilities of the tool at this time as it crashes with an out.of.memory error when I attempt to search ANY-ANY without other limiting parameters. I'm running with 32 GB of system RAM so I don't think it's my machine that's running out of memory.

Hi SDShannonS - Slopey removed the "round trip" option as part of his recoding updates, at present it only does any-any or from X to any or A-B routes. I often use Current-Any with either set distance - or any-any with set distance but it may not be near you - you could use the multi select option from Options menu to allow you to trade only a few systems.

You can do local mode only for sectors you have visited, but need to clear the DB and start from scratch - remembering to back up the DB - BPC will create a backup when run, but if you update and have to restart - create a manual backup to be sure you have the latest of your local DB, just in case.

I use this to replace a manual spreadsheet.

guys i couldnt use it always crashes and gettinge error like " your unprocessed app is using by another" cant search or add prices manually. is there a specific framework version for it or missing application ?

Am I the only one that is getting this error each time I try to use the search? Reinstalled, updated emptied db etc...nothing seems to fix it. Clicking continue on the exception and the app hangs with the search bar stuck at 50% or so...

The first page of this thread should have a download link for the latest installer. I suggest uninstalling manually before installing the new version from the download.

Or, it may have actually updated and just not be showing the correct version number.

The current version is 4201. Ignore 4202 on the setup program, I popped out 4202 to fix the missing files but did'nt update the version number in the application itself so the 4202 installer will install 4201.

Suspicious price found: Unit selling price for Tobacco at Kojima Hub in system HR 827 shows as ¤55447, giving a unit profit from Eravate [Ackerman Market] of ¤50915. HR 827 is 173 LY away from me, so I can't exactly verify it myself.

(PROTIP: Left Alt + numpad 0164 = "¤", generic currency symbol.)

I have been updating and attempting to close the launcher for 10 minutes now. Is there something up with the updater? Just to be sure, i uninstalled the BPC, reinstalled with default settings using the first post in this thread, and the updater comes up with the image below telling me to close processes.

its closing app becouse cant update while its opened and in use. its ok clcik to "close all processes" np. and than update done. check after that can u make search ?

Sorry, should have clarified that I hit close all processes and close process and nothing is happening. It just sits there. Basically, you have to manually close the program. The "close processes..." window does not work.
