Yep, that'll be fixed in the next update which I'm reasonably far along with now.

As per many previous replies to previous posters, it'll be back in due course. As will the round trip functionality.

Trying to install the newest version as the last version 4. something is crashing all the time now in Win 8 x64, and it is saying cannot load genteert.dll, after clicking the installer exe. This was from the version downloaded today three times, the last version was horribly unstable, either throwing exceptions or crashing completely quite often during the auto-update process, do you have any idea what is causing this? Does the program make any alterations to the ED_BPC.exe file (I don't see why). I'm just curious as I was moving stuff around last night and hit my power bar cable and it interrupted the power to my PC. I'm trying to launch the program but it says it isn't a valid App anymore. I noticed the file is now 0 bytes and obviously became corrupted. Not a big deal, i'll just redownload.
I was stupid enough to try an 'all to all' query. It crashed. Whenever I tried to query something, even stations in the same system it would crash giving me an out of bounds error.
Rebooted my pc, still same problem, so I thought I'd just reinstal it. Now it's unable to connect. It's not even saying current users...
Any ideas? Rly love this little program, so it sucks that I'm unable to use it atm. I'm also about to make a 250 LY trip, so I want to make it worthwile.

I fixed the no connection thing. Still unable to do a search without crashing though

the search function seems to have broken on me.
it is no longer showing lots of the commodities despite when doing a 'system data' them showing up - edit hmm - seems someone has delted a load of data from a station i was trading with. not a bug

No Current Station Detection
Is there a problem with the Verbose Logging again?
The Current Station is not being detected for me as of today.
Worked fine yesterday.
The OCR is having the same trouble.
This is the bottom section of my AppConfig.xml
Does it look right?
I've done a complete clean reinstall of 4.2.1.0 and it's still not seeing Current Station
SORTED - It was a syntax thing.
Not quite sure how the line </Network> got lost but deleting the file and running reverify got me the original back.
Then all I had to do was add the VerboseLogging="1" line again

In my installation of 4.2.1.0 the return trip checkbox is missing in BPC? Anyone else see this?
Yeah, he took it out a version or two ago to work on it. One of the version notes stated this and that it would eventually be back.

Don't play the helping the community card after saying "TL;DR" on a thread full of information. You did not even attempt to figure it out yourself. Pure arrogance. If you have time to play Elite, then you have a spare 10 minutes to read a few posts or even google the answer. Ever thought of filtering out the old videos on Youtube??? I have uploaded over 10 in the last 2-3 weeks all showing how to use these tools.
Route planning was taken out when the feature became available in game so there is no need for it here.

The BPC doesn't use genteert.dll. I have no idea what that is. EDIT - actually, it would appear it's part of the installer. Try downloading the installer again, might be corrupted. But I've had no other reports of problems with it. Could be your anti-virus being paranoid and deleting it or something?

If you're not attached to the data, clear it down and force an update. There were some changes to the DB for the 42xx versions to improve speed and date handling, and some of those have resulted in a few in consistencies - the duplicates are from the previous version, unless you delete the data (data over a certain date for example), they'll stay there unless you delete them manually (right click on system/commod grids).

No - route finding won't be back because we don't have coordinates for many systems, and it would appear there's been a bit of a galaxy regen recently so some have moved. Until we get a coherent source of coordinates (I'm not sure EDSC is that accurate currently), there's no point doing route finding.
What will be back soon is the round trip feature, and a "radius" search.

I did what you said and deleted my ED directory, much as I wanted to keep all my old data, then deleted the back up, then relaunched
then added in my recent data from EliteOCR as no one else had visited these stations and did a search and the same problem returned, I'm getting 4 results per station (where its my data). It seems that each station is getting uploaded twice, or maybe it is one stored locally and 1 on the server. But if you look at the time stamps they are between 10-20 seconds apart so something odd is happening here - unless its EliteOCR that is borking it.

I just tried deleting data individually from the local database and it seems if i delete 1 item, both disappear. (under sytem data tab)

It is obvious that the program is working normaly for them. I just want to know what is wrong with my installation. Slopey isnt answering to this same question asked by other users.
