Hi, I haven't been around for a long while and I've obviously missed something.
My last version of TCE 1.40 beta 3, so well before Powerplay. The problem I have is my db's, as I know the pertinent ones with my data are TCE.mdb, Logbook.mdb, Personal.mdb and Panel.mdb. So I've copied these over only Languages.mdb hasn't been changed. But when the game is loaded up and I OCR scan (Latest Version installed 0.6.0.10) I don't get the new goods, nor is the Salvage Category added.
Do I need to add these in EliteOCR separately?

I'm sure somewhere in the 189 pages this might have been answered buy good god going though all those pages. Simply I've installed the new version with the installer into the ED folder also ran the setup and its auto found the two paths that it is required to find. Also I've setup the whole excel thing for it to work and load up properly, although when I start up ED and then this program it all loads and everything but nothing works, in the "Current Status" section it says Please enter the game and well I'm in the game..lol. So maybe someone can enlighten me as to what I've screwed up or have forgotten to do.

Yah seems like the path was incorrect thanks again for that, its working now. Although just a few questions the Commodity and Trade scout and Trade buttons say Locked or no station when I am parked in a station. Is that because I need to personally add them or is there something once again I'm missing here..lol

You have to carefully read Yokai's guide and manually check your ED installaton folder. Make sure paths are correct and files (appconfig.xml and netlogs) are presents in the indicated locations. If not, the TCE setup isn't pointing the good folder so do it manualy.
Yes you have to enter them using the "Database" button. Then you'll have to enter commodities. I suggest you download EliteOCR and unzip it in TCE/EliteOCR folder. I also suggest to launch EliteOCR.exe at least once and follow the help tutorial that will help you to configure it. Commodities Market screenshot calibration is very important to minimize OCR errors.
You will also have to add some systems, but again, Yokai's guide is just perfect, take time to read it.
Aaah ok so basically if you don't use the EliteOCR you have to place all that stuff in manually but if you do use EliteOCR it does it all automatically? Am I understanding this correctly? I just never installed that program just because it said optional..lol
Exact. You should still verify EliteOCR entries as it sometimes doesn't recognize everything, depending of your screen resolution etc... But it's far faster with it.
P.S : EliteOCR scans only commodities, you will still have to edit or create some systems or station manually.

Just upgraded from TCE 1.39 to 1.41. The upgrade appears to have worked fine without problems. I added the 2 new commodities to TCE using Database -> Wares, saved them individually and checked they are present and spelled correctly. Also added them to EliteOCR and checked they are there in the commodities list and correctly spelled. Problem is I cannot get them added to the scanned TCE commodities panel list at a station - Zelano : Aitken Terminal which has both new commodities, as an OCR scan will not pick them up. What am I likely doing wrong or have not done correctly? I did restart TCE and Elite but no change, I cannot get these 2 new commodities recognised in an OCR scan.
Also I notice in this release of TCE when I click on the Commodities panel button to do a scan - or any other button in TCE, the Windows taskbar appears. Yes, I realise I am in Excel at this point but I don't recall this happening before in 1.39. Not a serious problem and maybe I am wrong, but it surprised me as I cannot recall seeing this taskbar action before. Using Windows 7 and yes, I am in borderless windowed mode.

Got another one for the brains. F10 is the button that takes a screen shot.....so what happens when you push it and nothing happens no screen shot no folder created named pictures nothing, I can't even do the HD ones.

You dont need F10 for EliteOCR, the TCE way.
TCE makes own screenshots. Just install EliteOCR into the predefined folder of TCE, start and with adding your first station, you be able to scan the commodities with a button.
Please check, if TCE shows the new commodities (open Commodity panel, select show all commodities, navigate to metals and salvage category and look, if they are listed).
If not, please check your TCE.mdb database > Goods table, if they are listed as ID 82 and 83. Also check the Category table, if "Salvage" is listed as ID 15 and the language.mdb at the LOC_Goods and LOC_Category table
If so, make a scan of them and look into the export.csv. Are one or both of them listed in the file?
If not, check EliteOCR entries for the goods.
If so, check the spelling of the goods at the database of TCE.
If correct, it should work.
For the taskbar issue, activate the old panel display mode. I will make it save in next release.

Ok so I have EliteOCR in I did run it once to config it and everything. Do I have to run again manually or does TCE just automatically run the program. I am just confused here because I click on the commodity tab after I've added a station and the prices of course are wrong but at the button at the bottem that says, "Update Prices" then "Start OCR" when I click on this button I think "Please wait" pops up for me for maybe half a second then disappears. I was assuming then the updated prices would be reflected in the commodity tab but they still display all the incorrect prices.
I've followed the steps from Yokai's guide doing the whole clicking the scan moving it down etc but nothing is changing at all. I don't get the save button after clicking the Start OCR it just goes back to "Start OCR"

then on the tce panel press commodity and a panel will open click on the small button at the bottom "reset all prices before scan" then it will change to "start ocr scan" click on this.
this will scan all prices currently showing and load them into the correct categorys. in seconds.. when its done button will say "ocr scan" again. then
scroll down the commodityw window to show the next lot of items and press "scan" again repeat untill you are at the bottom of the commodity page (does not matter if you double scan any items)
once done click ON THE "SAVE" BUTTON at the TOP of the commodity panel to save this to your database.
you will then get a overview page showing best export / imports.
looks a lot but once you have done it its easy to follow.
sorry just reread the message properly.. yes once you have clicked on start ocr once it has read the page the prices should have changed.. so you can double check in case of errors eg. 6's and 8's.
