Found the issue. The problem is TDM. Please make a commander before using TDM for the V1.43 release. Otherwise delete the first row (with an ID of 0) of the Personal.mdb > Personal table. Releasing an update of TDM soon.

I though not, i own an old 2007 office version. You can get it for less than 30 bucks.
Perhaps some open office users, because TCE wont work with it. Sorry guys.

Transfer Database Manager Update (V1.03) released:



Changelog:
- Added panel.mdb checking, that all zoom levels are within allowed ranges, otherwise it is set to 100%.
- Fixed issue, when commander was not created before transfering.

The personal file, but you manually edited your old, so it is compatible. But most didnt make it like you.
It has to be done to ensure, that all using the same core data.

TCE 1.43 Problems

I would love to try this tool but cannot get it working. I started with TCE v41 and today noticed that TCE v43 is available so I grabbed a copy and am trying it. I DO NOT have an existing DB so TDM is not needed.


System = ASUS ROG system - NVidia GTX 860 - 16 GB memory - SSD - Office 2013 Pro Plus - Windows 8.1 up to date


I ran the installer version and installed to D:\TCE


I installed EliteOCR to D:\EliteOCR


I ran the TCE Extension Setup from the desktop as admin. I used the Auto-Discover on D:\ and all the correct paths were found. I set the key to '9' - UIMode to 'classic' - Extend to 'TOP'


I set the security in Excel and Access to allow macros and I set the trusted locations on both to D:\ and all subfolders. I have also given users full control of all the folders.


I have ED set to 1920x1080 Borderless. If I ALT-TAB to another screen and that app is not running full-screen, ED shows up in the background. Is this normal?


After starting ED and sitting in a spaceport then I alt-tab to desktop and Run TCE as admin from the desktop, the TCE windows with progress bar shows up and then I start getting errors.


1st error is 'Error in StartSequence' - 'Error Line: 234' Error (380) Could not set the Zoom... between 10 and 400'. I've read through some of the posts here and checked the panel.mdb and all Z-Cords are set to 100.


As I click through the OK's I get......


2nd error is 'Error in StartSequence' - 'Error Line: 389' Error (380) Could not set the Zoom... between 10 and 400'. I've read through some of the posts here and schecked the panel.mdb and all Z-Cords are set to 100.


3-6 errors are "error in Position_Display' - ' Error line: 10' - 'POS ID:0 DES ID:0 - 'Unregistered: False' - Error (380) Could not set the Zoom... between 10 and 400'. I've read through some of the posts here and schecked the panel.mdb and all Z-Cords are set to 100.


Next 5 Error is 'Error in Destination-Display' - 'Error Line: 10' - 'DES ID: 0' - 'Unregistered: False' - 'DES_USR:0' - 'Error Line: 389' Error (380) Could not set the Zoom... between 10 and 400'.


Next Error is "error in Position_Display' - ' Error line: 10' - 'POS ID:0 DES ID:0 - 'Unregistered: False' - Error (380) Could not set the Zoom... between 10 and 400'.


I get a mish-mash of all the errors listed above and finally have to kill excel to get out.


I can kinda get TCE bar showing but it's empty and flowing off the right side of the screen and I have one of the errors above. I can click thru them and data will populate the menu bar but then disappears.


I have also tried the non-install version and get pretty much the same errors.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gordon

Did ya see my post a couple pages back? I had all the same errors. Try using the non-installer version. Download it, extract it to where ever you want, run the setup for the auto-paths, and then just run the TCE file. Thats what I had to do. Installer version gave me all those errors, non-installer ran just fine.

Found the problem. The panel.mdb data from the new installation is buggy, updated both install versions to fix this issue. Redownload the installer or non-installer 1.43 version and install it again, or you can copy the panel.tdm from the TDM folder into the DB folder, delete the existing panel.mdb and rename the copied panel.tdm to panel.mdb. That should also work.
This issue affects only users, that are not using TDM, because they didnt have an old database.

Sorry for this issue, oversaw that the release folder habours an old file from an earlier version.

I did see your post so I deleted everything and tried the non-install version but was still getting the same errors.

eventure, one small thing:
after srtarting TCE and ED, TCE sometimes doesn't set the actual position in a complete way.
it's showing the correct position in the panel, but when clicking destination the distances are all empty.
after selecting the actual position again by hand, the dest. panel is showing everything as expected.
doesn't seem to happen every time though. so no biggie, just wanted you to know.

Installed 1.43 over 1.42 with zero considerations for upgrading and blew away my previous data.
100% my fault for not reading or following instructions so now I know about TDM. [;)]
TCE is a massive help for horribly inept and forgetful traders such as myself.
Training Elite OCR is worth the learning curve too.

TCE makes a backup every day, please look into your TCE\BACKUP folder.

Got 1.43 set up clean, created a commander, ran TDM and pulled in the backed up db from 1.42 and my previous data was there but my commander is blown away and won't save a new one.

Just going to restart from a clean install and call it a lesson learned about not following instructions.

For anyone reading and considering whether or not to use TCE, this is my mistake not Eventure's.

OK Eventure been away awhile, been busy recruiting for Winters. So I see a pretty big update I am still running 1.42 Beta 2 I just want to be clear about upgrading to the latest specifically how and when to use TDM will wait for your response before proceeding.

Never mind found the instructions just needed to keep reading down the page :p

OK Maybe I am still a little bit confused probably not enough sleep. Do I run TDM on the 1.42 files first or update to 1.43 then run TDM?

I do need sleep I think I got it.
