I know that you are busy with the TCE MkII but I have a little problem when I try and update my database from 1.56B4 to 1.56B5. I am getting the following errors and I thought it might be better to fix these now rather than wait until MKII is released.

A request: could you be so kind to make a similar program, but that hunts down missions of a specific type (by the user defined if possible).
Reason, for ages i am looking specifically for Kill x Pirates/Assassinate Criminal missions, but all I get are crime based missions and cabby type missions.
Being a non-trader/pure fighter, I am missionless, but I need missions to grow ranks...

Missions are randomly generated every 10 minutes or so, and there is no way that this data can be retrieved from Frontier, therefore impossible for TCE to show you.
Download the lastest version of TCE (installer + update) and use TDM on your old install to get the databases.
How to use TDM, please check the manual.
Sorry, but I can't see any possibility in doing that.
as well as this tce only collects data from market place when you are there looking at market prices..(then makes up a database just for you and can search this database looking for decent trades.)
so if you wanted a version of tce to look for missions you would have to be looking at the bulletin screen for screen grab to get details it does not search frontier systems looking for data and as said these change every 10 mins..
also we are still waiting with fingers crossed that seebek (the god that made eliteocr) will reappear and fix the small problem of eliteocr and horizons/stock levels..
or just a new version of tce

ive just managed to find out why all my reasonable trade routes have disappeared..
I have been quite happily scanning market prices with eliteocr (downgraded to ?? so it works lots of nice green ticks)
but I was not entering stock levels (I was thinking I only have small ship so I don't need to keep track of massive differences in stock)
but every time I rescanned a station it was then missing from best routes list.. I just thought prices had dropped to start with.
now I realised that tce uses stock levels when searching for routes and all my stock levels are at zero.... opps.
anyway is there a way of listing which stations I have visited and scanned prices in any given time frame. eg from when horizons came out until yesterday
so I can revisit and renter stock levels.. so route planner will work properly again.

You won't need Elite OCR if you use EDMC, it's still your own data, but no need to go through commodities page screen by screen anymore. I guess this is why Elite OCR stopped being supported as EDMC supersedes it in many way.
I've been using EDMC today and it's silly at the moment as I can see that my data has been added to the crowd sourced data but I'm still having to use EliteOCR to scan process and manually edit the stock levels, even though I have a CSV generated immediately upon landing at said station with all trade data and then some. That's in MK I
MK II integrates EDMC for this and other stuff.
You can deselect the "Send station data to the Elite Dangerous Data Network" output setting in EDMC if you don't want to share your data.

What is EDMC and how does it work?
It's part of the Elite API that takes data from us playing and on a capt-by-capt display can show you the details, including things like the current commodities you have where you are, in a friendly text way.
edit: Note this is per player... so you log into it using your game password and one of the things it CAN do is generates a file that can THEN be used on other things such as TCE
