Another inconsequential one that might actually be intended.
If I leave the STAR SYSTEM SUMMARY open,
it closes itself anytime I select to open any other panel from the main menu.
Even clicking twice on TRADE COMPUTER EXTENSION to open and close the main menu
closes the STAR SYSTEM SUMMARY panel.

It is intended to prevent overlapping panel. I will remove the hiding of that panel, because TCE updates the panel automatically on every jump. Most others are updated only on opening.
And, grrrrr one mistake i had done not adding the Cartography button to the new UI. Forgot that, because i moved the button to the Personal Logbook panel, which is in development. Will be fixed.

- It is not crowd source data like the other two, your data is your own.
- It shows up as an in game overlay
- You need a fully updated version of excel to run TCE,
see the first post of this tread and Yokai's guide for instruction.

The Hiding of it with the hotkey like all the rest of the interface is not a problem for me, I actually like that.
The fact that it hides by itself anytime I try to use another panel is a bit more disturbing,
but not something really major either.
I'll miss Cartography for a while I guess because I think I like the new UI enough to go without it for a while or switch back only when I really need it.
I'll give it a fair try at least.Will you be adding the STAR SYSTEM SUMMARY button in the old UI too ?

- Bugfix at Destinaion panel
- Fix for new UI overlapping each other initially
- Star System Summary panel doesnt hide itself, only on Hotkey.

I've had no problems at all with 1.39 beta 1, works like silk.
I haven't used the new layout as Cartography was missing, also I prefer the old layout, each to their own I suppose.

thought id found a very nice trade run but instead a small problem with the trade route..
it told me I could do a run making about 6k per ton on indite.. to good to be true..
not sure if ocr misread page or I managed to skip it when I updated commodites page.
on checking, The commodity for indite was blank all the way across only average price shown but trip planner still had me going there to buy it.

I gave the new one a good try, but I also came back to the old layout.
It is much quicker with the main buttons always available then going through the drop down menu every time.
But having the option is very nice !

Would be very nice if you could put the same delay on the
unknown STAR SYSTEM popup as you did on the STAR SYSTEM SUMMARY one !
for the same reason, even thought it does not pop up as often, unless I'm exploring as I'm doing now to find a new trade route.

Could not find a way to input a Station in the Station DB using the new UI. Had to go classic to get to that function.
If you hide and unhide the interface it always pops up the logbook frame even if it was hidden beforehand.
Another small problem I found, if I visit a Station and update the Commodities whilst I have in my cargo some items not handled at that station. It saves that commodity with Buy and Sell prices with no stock available, but you then get bad trade information and may also be indicated as the best trade option even though no stock is available.

Sounds to me like you are not using the latest EliteOCR package which now contains the Commodity Painite, which will cause the program to erroneously save it as Indite instead.

Decided to start a blank database for this new version and try to leave behind the problems I had been experiencing with v1.38.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get too far...
Added station fine but when trying to save commodity prices I keep getting a type mis-match error in the following section of code:
Also a minor bug - the 'x' setting for the Position/Destination' Panel is reset to zero each time I exit and restart TCE.

When using the preview of the route, you should see, which station has the faulty price tag. Select this station at the Position panel, then enter the Commodity panel to change the price to a normal value.
There is a menu button called "SHIP DATABASE". Click on it to open the database buttons. If you dont see them, please check the Panel Positions window, there you can select the side, where the database buttons are displayed. Perhaps they open to the wrong side, if you cant see them.

Download the test version of Office 2007 and enter the key there. TCE works only with Microsoft Office.
As i can see, this codeline is for opening the Commodity panel, not saving prices. Please tell me, what you have done before clicking on the button and please give me a screenshot of the whole interface (shiplog included), so i can peek at the right point. The code doesnt help much in this case, because it only points to routine, from where the error comes, not the error code itself. In addition, if you got to the same point, press F8 for each codeline, till the error show up. You can make it again and again, till you found the right codeline, which produces the error. Thanks.

I need a little input here for the new Personal Logbook panel, i create at the moment. There will be a statistic page, which had to be filled with things of interest. So please give some proposals, what values should displayed.
Here are some, i like to see:
- Kills
- Bounties collected
- Star System visited
- Stations recorded
- Distance traveled
- ...
Any proposal is welcome.
- Ability to input notes in as we go and to scroll up and down in the log's history.
- a way to expend the panel to see more of it at once and shink it back for normal use.
- Status
