Hi all

I have install this program using Microsoft's trial 2016 and have to say it's dam good although I don't use an ocr so have to input data I just
love the amount of detail that has gone into this man' work so keep it up.:D

thanks..

You know that EliteOcr is a free software, right ?
It's your choice of course but it's much quicker then typing once it is setup properly !!!

Thanks and no did not know in fact no nothing about the OCR software or where to get it from
so would love to have some help with that anything so I don't have to type as it's slow going...lol

thanks dee.

No clue, you got way more equipment then I do !
Frankly I'm a bit jealous !!

It might not help at all but this is the only idea that comes to me.

Isn't there an ED shortcut key to turn head tracking on and off
if you set you fov at the value you know works
and temporarily turn of head tracking this way, while you scan the market with TCE
It might just work ???

That is exactly what I've had to do. Set FOV back to 60, temporarily disable head tracking, hit scan, and it works.

... I'm going to ignore in the future all FOV related problems.

That is too bad Seebek. I don't know how hard it would be to allow up to 70 FOV in OCR though. It's nice that it works at all!

Since FD won't let us disable the 'loose seatbelt' effect where the GUI slides towards you and away from you when you change speed, which makes parts of the GUI go off screen, I've had to set my FOV to 70. It is really, really, annoying, and I know others in other threads that hate it too. That change in FOV, in turn, messes up the OCR.

I will try to fly around in FOV 60 again so the OCR will work, and see if the 'loose seatbelt' effect causes a blood vessel to pop in my brain or not. :(

I would recommend higher resolution and then increase the FOV . If you have nvidia graphics you could use DSR. But your setup is already using 3 monitors, which means your graphics card is probably already boiling...
EDIT:
You do understand that the FOV by itself is not a problem? You could play on 4k and have max FOV and OCR would work without complaining. What is important is the size of the market. This depends on resolution and FOV. The higer your resolution the higher FOV you can use.

I do have Nvidia...780 Ti. Yeah, I tried 1.5 SS. It was fine in space/combat, but in station was at about 25 FPS. It was "ok", but I decided the elimination of the eye bleeding jaggies was not worth the lower FPS. Maybe I have to rethink that decision.

I could roll the dice and set SS back to 1.5 and FOV to 70 and see what happens. Free to test and all...

Eventure, Not sure if this has been said/asked. You are using the time from the computer in the entries, and not UTC/Game time any reason?

Just FYI...

So, enabling SS to 1.5 in game didn't do anything for OCR. That is as high as I can go and still have ED be playable.

I can't try DSR because nVidia has not enabled it for surround set ups.

The highest FOV that worked with my 5760x1080 was 62. I noticed OCR was slightly less accurate than at 60 (near perfect at 60). That's not worth it, so I'll leave FOV at 60.

I will just have to deal with FD's "loose seatbelt effect" or not use OCR. :(

No special reason, i thought it is easier to adapt for the user, but i am open to anything. Lets hear, what others think about.

Here comes another update of the new Personal Logbook: the Stored Locations area
LOG_Stored_Locations.JPG
This area holds all important locations of your database and logbook. As you can see, we have nine categories to choose from.

The Blackmarkets, Outfittings, Rare Commodities and Shipyard categories containing stations of your database, that have the corresponding service or commodity present. You can select an entry to set it as your destination, edit the station notes and view the Rare Commodity.

The Conflict Zones, Parked Ships, Points of Interest and Resource Extractions categories containing log entries, that were stored through the Travel Logbook. You can select an entry to set it as your destination, delete the entry, edit the location notes and view the ships parked or resources, that could be mined and finally name the inner system location.

That's all for today, feel free to discuss or add a suggestion.

Everture, you seem to be missing Tourism as an economy. You have it in combination with others but not as a solo economy.

Oh, there is a double entry of Military, please change the ID 15 of the Economy table in the TCE.mdb file to TOURISM. Will be fixed in next release. Though, i filtered it out, but i didnt. Thanks for reporting.

It is game content, the game is UTC, and it helps conversation/understanding/sharing... when everybody is using the same language.
So Yeah my vote is for UTC and game time i.e. 3301-05-14 15H00

Looking at the latest reveal I can't wait to try the new version. I can't think of anything specific at the moment but will we be able to add to the Categories?

If i correctly understood your question, you can't add a new category, only travel log entries into the existing.

Hello Eventure, and grats with a fantastic program. I am using two computers at home, one is running Elite, and the other TCE. Then I setup TCE and OCR to look at my elite dangerous log and screenshot folder on my networked computer. I do this so I can run Elite on three monitors, and everything else on my second computer's three monitors. I know TCE is an overlay for Elite, but I am running full screen because I am adjusting for bezel correction.

Anyways, I would like TCE to run on my second computer since I then can use TCE with all windows open on three monitors :) separated from my gaming rig. This seems to work, I just point TCE/OCR to my Elite computer correct directory for logs and screenshots. BUT, I am having trouble with TCE 'comodity' OCR scan....It wont scan (I have set the correct path in OCR - and OCR alone is working). Any tips/help would be nice....thanks :)
