Interesting discovery. I'm on a 4k monitor, and it works fine even on my own databse if I take the resolution down to 1920x1080 or similar, but once on 3840x2160, the black screen and freezing returns...
1. There is no need in re-numbering of the unregistered stations. It is only important for the registered stations and their prices.
2. Yes, you can delete all unregistered stations from the table Stations_UR, but not the table itself.
Because i didnt own a 4k monitor, i am not a great help in your case, perhaps other users can help you with the issue, you having. Please change your UI to Compact Mode and test, if it is the same.

It gets further under Compact mode - I get the Commander Profile to appear, and will let me edit and save. But as soon as click on one of the other tabs, black screen and sporadic freezing. It's like there's something in the code that is scaling dependent?
Does anyone else have 4k set up and got 1.40 working?
Another idea, please open the Panel Control Window and play with it a little (change x/y/z, show/hide the Personal Logbook). If the window is blocked by the black screen, ALT-TAB back to it.

Eventure - further testing shows that it's when you click onto another tab it shows a black screen - I had to Task Manager kill the last test, on opening TCE next time it went straight to Travel Summary. When I then clicked back to Commanders Profile, black screen. So I think it is something in the code in v1.40 when switching between panels or sub-panels, that on a 4k screen it doesn't work.

This all works fine to display one or more panels at a time. So does appear to be something with the hiding and opening normally as per above comment. Curiously, Position/Destination when clicked show in Panels, opens up a duplicate mini panel to the Main Menu elements - is that right or could it be linked?

So, the first visit works, but every click after opening at a different area results in a black screen, right?
E.g. If you dont open the log, but the cartography, it work, closing the cartography and then opening the log thereafter results in a black screen?
No, its from the Compact UI. i have to disable it in case of Show/Hide, if the Compact UI is not in use.
I release an update today, that fixes some other issues. I will add some code for changing the areas of the Logbook, that could perhaps help. You have to test it then.

You my friend, are clearly an Excel, Access, VBA utter genius!! I can confirm v1.41 Beta 2 working perfectly with the alternate panel display mode under 4k at full resolution, in Elite 1.3 Powerplay.

Well, i am happy to help you, i guessed, the dimensions of the panels was the troublemaker. If i dont hear any reports of issues from other users with it, the alternate will be the new standard.

Problem is suddenly back :-( Seems to be as it's not remembering the options setting and suddenly loses it so bug reoccurs...
Afternoon Eventure just downloaded the latest 1.41 Beta 2 and I am running into more than a few errors I'll start with this one I get it when after a scan of the commodities I try and save the data.

The option is not saved atm, only for the session. I added it as a test. As i said, it will be the next standard, if none reporting issues with it. So please select it after starting.
Both errors have to do with the date fix. Damn, worked here, but i will further optimize it. Next update will probably work for all.

I am not sure if BETA 3 was suppose to fix my problem, but it didn't still errors as before when I hit the save button after scanning commodities.
With 1.41 Beta 3 can't save updated commodities
When updating commodities with ocr everything fine till I push the save button. Then TCE crashes with Run-time error '13': Type mismatch. Tested in 2 stations.

Also noticed new Salvage Item - SAP 8 CORE CONTAINER. Added it through Database Wares. The next time I started a scan TCE crashed on first scan page. Didn't capture error. Restarted TCE. This time no crashes on scan but did crash on save again with above error.
