Thank You Eventure, this one was really bugging me. Seems to be working now. Only time will tell.

Hey Eventure,
your program is looking super cool, but unfortunately I just can't get it running. I did install it following the tutorial you mentioned and fed it all the paths it needs. I can also run it and the overlay will appear, however, it will keep saying "waiting for ED", even thou I am in-game at a station. Do you know what causes this and how to fix it?
Thanks a lot for all your hard work man!

i don't know what exactly happened, but in the beginning of me using this tool i messed up a couple of star systems
in a way that effects one reference star and messes up the coordinates for other new systems if i don't change it.
well i try to fix it with flying there tomorrow, but would be nice if there where a way to check for totally wrong numbers, speaking in million ly here or something along those lines
the next one, i had the wrong system open and added stations from another system, but i can't seem to find a delete button or similar for them.
also about stations, i register them properly but if i want to click on the commodity tab it says "no station", so i can't use the ocr feature,
seeing as i only went to two stations today and both had the problem, but the first worked at one point, i don't really know what i could be doing wrong here.
Sure, i can add a routine to check reasonable values for distances. If you started with a new database, then i would recommend to start new again. Otherwise you have to fly to all newly entered star systems and rework the coordinates of them. Watch out for wrongly entered reference star systems!
well i ment i had the system map for the sol system open, but i was in a totally different system and starte adding stations...but well, the tdm worked, thanks for that. What you mean with "had the wrong system open"?
Always fly to the station, you want to add, because the sector ID for the station is important and it is displayed and recognized by TCE, if you reach the station, you want to add.
You can always modify the data of the stations in database to correct the values, if something got wrong. If you want to delete a station, for whatever reason, you have to do it with the Transfer Database Manager (TDM) outside of TCE.
Deselect the station at the TDM list displayed, you want to delete, and transfer all others into a new database, that replaces your old database.
ok i'm in the station and it only shows me "system name:sector" and it does this if i'm not ingame, instead of saying "please start elite dangerous" or whatever it exactly was...To add commodity prices to a station, you have to be at the station in game. If the station is not recognized by TCE at the Position Display, TCE tells you, that there is "No Station". It shows like "Star System Name : Sector xx".
At this point, you have to add the station and after saving the data, the Position Display shows like "Star System Name : Station Name" with an "Update required" note.
Now you will be able to add the commodity prices of the station with the Commodity panel.
Are there any plans to put a filter on the Trade panel to allow a user to filter on pad size, distance to station from star etc ?

ok thanks for clarifying that and seems that i missed an update there, still have b2~TCE reads your last log file, so it finds a position. The message "Waiting for Elite Dangerous" comes, when a position was not found, e.g. when ED is starting, creating a new log file, which is not holding any info data of your position, till you are in game.
The rare commodity issue should be fixed in last update. Are you using V1.43b3?
Bug Report 1.42 Beta 3
Compact UI
- By dragging and anchoring a window its color is reset to default. Can be restored in settings. Also a restart fixes the problem.
bug report 1.43b3
well it's minor, i think, but still~
system visit statistic counter: flying to a sector, in a system, and docking at a station also counts as a system visit, which messes up the total count.
and by the looks of it, it only adds +1, if i leave the system/sector/station not when i enter it (currently having 6 entry's in the logbook and only 5 visits).
edit: ok entered the system 2 times more to check things, i have now 7 visits, with 8 logbook entry's, while in system.
Eventure - thank you so much for getting me back up and running with TCE - It has felt like I have been playing one handed without having TCE at my side !
Great new features since I last played in earnest !
I have the following to report so far ....
1. TDM imported most of my TCE.ini file but left EliteOCR path blank - workaround: run TCE Setup
2. Narcotics come up in red at the moment when scanned into the commodity panel. The data is correct though
I'll post more if I find anything
I really like how the Inner System Location in the Travel Logbook changes to the Station name and how it says Star System Entry. It be neat if an edited location affects Stored Locations and vice versa. E.g. naming a RES location after a Planet. But I don’t know if that is how it works? Is the Sector ID always the same?
I know that it would not work for sector 0, but CZ and RES may be worth a try?
Please change the location name of a res or CZ at the Stored Locations. There you can change it to whatever you want, to make it refindable in game. At the Travel Logbook, the categories of locations are displayed, but if setting them as your destination, your chosen location name is displayed at the Destination Display, and the category below of the named location.
