There are no reports of users, which having trouble with more than one screen. I didn't own two or more monitor's, but perhaps some active user could say something about it for sure.

I've now tried disabling Surround, and yet another weird thing is happening. While I can get most of the screens to display and reposition without error (YAY!), any menu item that has a pulldown will not let me select it. Control, Database, Commodity - as soon as I move off of the main button to go to one of the sub-choices, they disappear. It's more "stable" I think, but unusable - I can't interact with the most critical menus, they just disappear when I try to pick them.

Please tell me your resolution and where your Main panel is (top or bottom). Thanks
There could be a positioning bug for higher resolutions than 1920 x 1200. Please use the Compact Display Mode as a fallback solution, till I fix it.

It's on top, and my resolution (with Surround disabled) is 1920x1080. Curious note, I reverted back to my 1.53.2 version (I just renamed the existing TCE directory and brought back the backup I made before upgrading to 1.54) and the buttons work fine. Only since the 1.54 upgrade am I having this button disappearing problem. Also of note, with Surround off and working on one monitor only, the 1.53.2 is considerably more stable than it was with Surround enabled.

Oh, and how can I select the Compact Display Mode if I can't get to the Options tab? I'll go edit a table if I need to - just let me know what table/entry/value.

The whole Main panel is now (1.54) fully dynamically build, depending on the panel position (top/bottom). So I could delete the bottom view panel, which was a mirrored duplicate of the top version.
Select the Panel Mode at the TCE setup. Thanks for your report. I will check, what the problem is.

Thank you. Every issue I've had apparently is revolving around resolution - I'm absolutely THRILLED with the 1.53.2 version when I'm on a single 1920x1080 monitor, and I'm sure you'll sort out the buttons issue in 1.54...it is my HOPE that you will also be able to address those problems that keep coming back whenever I go into Surround mode. For now, I'll live with the other two monitors being out-of-the-way places for me to put certain TCE windows (that works too, no issues), but I would like to get the Surround back sometime. Right now, TCE is more important to me than Surround, so I'll live with the single monitor for Elite. If you ever want to do some testing on an nVidia Surround setup, PM me and I'll happily run some test scenarios with you.

When I try to place a window, sometimes it sticks and sometimes my screen goes all white, or mostly black with an echo of the overlay that I can't interact with. Once I use the Panels option to size the main panel, I can't interact with it anymore. I'm getting little "placeholder" white areas (sometimes BIG ones). The main overlay will work and then stop responding. I"ll click on Control, but when I move to a choice below it they disappear. Some panels show a huge black area with "ghosts" of the buttons that I can't interact with.

Placing panels by what, mouse or throught the Panel Position window under Control?
Can you give me some screenshots?

Btw, if the Panel Position window is opened, all panels got locked until you close the Panel Position window.
The disappearing buttons is a position bug from high resolutions. Should be fixed in next patch.

Placing panels by mouse. Panel Position was closed. This is an example of when it went black (I don't have pics of white) when all I did was click on the Trade button: TCE - Black Trade.PNG

Sometimes that black/white coverage was so large that I couldn't see TaskManager to close Excel - the windows themselves wouldn't close with the "X" for the window (named things like "Place Holder" and "Panel Window" or some such). Had to reboot and force close at reboot screen.

Here's another pic - you'll notice that blackness extends across two screens.TCE - Black Logbook.PNG

Thanks for the screens, did you tried to deactivate the Standard Panel Display Mode? If you can't reach the Options panel, you can change the entry "Panel_Mode" to "False" at the TCE.ini file.

With 1.54.5 in 1920x1080 on a single monitor with Standard disabled and Classic menus, the Control button would still prevent me from selecting sub-buttons, but not every time (?!?) - if I kept at it eventually the buttons would stay there one time, long enough for me to bring up the Options window to change to Compact menu structure. That seems to work so far (I have Standard Panel Display Mode still turned off).

Switching back to Surround mode (5760x1080), so far everything seems pretty good as long as I keep Standard disabled and use Compact menus. I did notice when trying to use the Panels option to make some of the windows visible again (switching to Surround placed some of the windows off-screen - had to use Panels to bring them back to where I could then use the mouse to place them where I wanted) that two things happened - one, at some point while editing the panel positions, the Panels screen reverted back to the standard color scheme (Orange - I use a blue-ish scheme), and two, several of the panels didn't take their repositioned coordinates immediately - I changed the numbers to a visible range but they stayed invisible on "Show". I had to close and reopen the Panels screen and re-edit the positions...the second time I did this, it took and I was able to reposition them. I think it was Credit Balance and Star System Summary (I should have taken better notes!). Even now when I launch the Panels screen it's coming up Orange for me (a minor issue, obviously, but I thought it worth mentioning in case it's indicative of greater issues).

Let me know what you want me to try next (a beta fix version maybe?) - debugging is actually pretty fun when you really like the end product! Oh, and I sent you a donation too - money talks!

Wrong Station

Here's a new one - tried to update pricing at Bosch Base and it came up Arrhenius Station, and the Change button didn't work. Surround mode, Standard and Compact, 1.54.5:

Hi Got this when trying to add an ware. i'm guessing a simple miss keying of variable.

Thanks for finding a bug.
Rare Commodities are not common trade wares. EliteOCR won't scan them so please don't add it through the Wares Database panel. To add it to the station, please go into the Station Database panel and choose it from the Rare Commodity dropdown.

Thanks in supporting me.
The vanishing buttons at the Classic Main panel will be fixed in the next update (comming soon).
A restart of TCE should wipe the color issue, you having. I tried it here, as you said, but all working fine. So I need a precise report, if the issue is reproduceable.

Did the button highlights, if you have your mouse over? Is the panel frozen or something or can you switch between View and OCR Prices?

Thank you for the information. I just realized that I could add it to the station database.

<<< feeling a bit of a wally.
