Reminder that Diamondback Scout has the wrong cockpit

Doesn't the DBX have lower level, ground viewing windows much like the T6? My DBS is 5k Kyrs away but last time I looked it did not have lower windows.
The rest of it was very similar.

I'm back in my DBs again. Not at your feet, but thin viewable slats by the arms.

The issue is that they used to have different cockpits, and now the DBS has the DBE cockpit. Which is, you know, like a bug.

Or an upgrade, or even the fixing of the bug that made the cockpits different.

Not all changes, welcome or not, are bugs.

You haven't noticed that the yellow screens and panels are now blue? And that they are emitting yellow light? It should be right at the top of your screen... just taunting you with its bugginess.

Also, this bug wasn't introduced with the new 3.3 update. It's been around for at least a few months prior.

It is two years or more since I first flew a DBX and didn't like it much bought one again after 3.3 dropped and find I like it better now, but cockpit colours only bother me when they affect the usability of the HUD.

It can be super annoying when someone rolls in all clueless and dismissive with "they're sister ships therefore the cockpits should be identical therefore the bug isn't a bug and is in fact an improvement and hey why is everyone getting so worked up all of the sudden also you're all crazy and everything you care about is made up and unimportant."

People are getting their knickers in a twist because of you. The bug should be fixed and eventually it will be fixed but it would get fixed faster and with less conflict if there wasn't always, without fail, EVERY TIME, some rando dropping their completely made up off-the-cuff dismissal of every issue anyone brings up. It's exhausting and annoying and it ensures that the default mode of communication is always adversarial.

I kind of agree but do you know what would really help getting the bug fixed fast? Screenshots showing the issue. Or least describing the bug. Without (people like) m00ka we probably still wouldn't know what OP is talking about... ;)

I like the new cockpit, I hope it doesn't change.
I see it that the manufacturer has brought in a cost saving guru, like when a car company standardised all the interiors of there cars.

Wait, you mean that bit of bulging cabling hanging out in front of the cockpit canopy that bothered me so on my trek out to Sgr A and back in 3301 is no more! [woah]

Could hardly even enjoy motorboating celestial bodies because of it. [blah]

One can only hope that Frontier share your belief that a bug you already submitted is worthy of spamming the non-bug forum too.

At least they will be aware of the issue, and then all they have to do is correct the typo that caused it in the first place. But I'm not sure they even read the general forums, I'm mostly trying to get other people who actually fly the DBS to maybe start grumbling too.

Are you serious? They had distinct cockpits and now the DBS has the wrong one. The DBE's screens and panels changed color but they still emit the old lighting. Those aren't upgrades.

"The DBS has the DBE's cockpit." What part of this sentence is so hard to understand?

The DBS and the DBX cockpit are almost identical by design, so without a more detailed explanation people may think you are confusing design with a bug. Also, it seems like the DBS doesn't have the DBX cockpit but a mixture of both. Your 'bug report' couldn't be more useless.

They have two distinct cockpits. Two different models. One has the model of the other one. The only thing that remained the same in the DBS are the blue lights. If people think I'm confused about the cockpits, then they clearly did not know that the two ships had different models. That's honestly not my problem. I want people who actually use the ships to know there is something wrong.

My bug report has enough information for FD to go and fix the typos that caused the bug in the first place.

Dekot is correct, the cockpit of the Scout is now the Explorer cockpit, just with the scout light colours. The DBX has handles above the instruments panel, on each side of the light/text on the crossbeam. The DBS does not, usually. All the differences between the two are gone now, it's a DBX.

Pipe panel coverings on the vertical beams shouldnt be there. pipes and wires on left and right sides are DBX versions not DBS.

Etc.

Literally unplayable

ROD: The background simulation doesn't work at all any more, supporting a faction at war hurts them and opposing them helps them, and when I log off at a rescue ship I go into a crash loop which needs manual intervention from support before I can play again

JANE: My screen keeps freezing just when I'm pointed at a giant rock or a wing of 3 pirates opened fire on me, but the game keeps simulating while all my controls and vision are frozen, and also I keep crashing at random times, that's if I can even log in

FREDDY: Some of my literal window-dressing which is supposed to be blue is yellow instead

Seriously do you guys work for FD or something? I can't point out a bug without all you tards trying to save them from making a simple fix. Don't worry, the 3 guys still working on the game can fix the typo that caused this and still fix whatever the hell is making you so antsy.

Aye okay, humour not your forte eh? Keep at it.

And up above, in this same thread? I backed your point, said you were correct, and posted explaining more about the actual problem.

No thanks necessary.
