Remove Cobra Mk IV NPCs

After reading after all these past threads about opening Cobra Mk IV, I came into conclusion it would be just pointless to open such a thread. Therefore, this request:

Restrict Cobra Mk IV only to the human commanders - a.k.a. players who backed Horizons.

I will not lie if I say that seeing the NPC flying playable ship which is not obtainable by any means, something boils down my stomach on borderline of disappointment and barely controlled anger. It's one thing seeing Cobra Mk IV flown by other players - but totally different thing when you see a lot of NPCs flying it.

I'd love to own that ship. I envy the players having it, really! Yet I understand them not willing to open it to others.

But God almighty, with all respect, shoving "oh look the ship you cannot fly" flown by NPCs is just low-tier bullcrap.

It really not a ship worth having unless your mining.

It's more about removing NPC Cobra Mk IV. It's not Farragut or Majestic, we are speaking about the playable ships restricted to very few players. And it should remain such, without any NPC version.

Being a Cobra IV owner myself; I feel for you.

That said: Your argument; if a applied to a new, or time limited player, would have players requesting, not to have to see, larger, out of reach credit wise, ships flown by NPCs. :D

No. They should exist and remind You not backed Horizon every single time.

Coriolis is also not playable for players, prison ships too, planets also, so i dont mind if NPC will have cobra mk4. It seems they just backed horizon.

Don't like cobra mk4 - don't fly it. Simple.

See a MkIV, kill it.[yesnod]
It is probably one of the few ships, that you can ram it from behind; when it is travelling at full speed and still destroy it.

I have smuggled lots of wanted passengers in mine and understand that speed, is not its best assist.

See thing is we don't know how many people can or can not fly it. Your Very few players could be 75% of the player base.

Or just drop this silly LEPer pandering and make the CM4 available to all now.

It's been long enough. :p

I'm not sure why FD don't offer LEP owners temporary exclusive access to all new ships. Say 1 to 3 months or something.

It'd make sense. LEPers get to feel special and have exclusivity on new ships, and regular folk eventually get to enjoy they game they also paid for. :D

As far as I am aware: I have only been given one 'free' ship. I could be wrong, I am a little pickled right now.

As to F.D. basically breaking its contract with those Cobra IV owners? Not a good idea, because anyone can sue.

Myself; hate the idea of it being an exclusive and not why I got the LEP. Everyone's welcome to it, it is such a wonderful ship.

I know I was given 3 ships. I think it was something like Eagle, Imperial Eagle and Cobra IV.

What does the LEP have to do with anything? It was a Horizons Preorder Bonus.
And anyone who had the Lifetime expansion pack.

Your post is pretty much why exclusives have value.

Well we know all the PS4 players are excluded, as it's never been made available as an option, and was not part of the pre-order or first year Horizon owners: unlike PC and later Xbox players.

That's why this is a request to keep that ship exclusive - yet to players who backed it only. NPCs flying it give new players a very sour taste when they are told that their hunt for "that nice looking ship the NPC fly" is pointless.

Especially when that ship is actually featured in Horizons trailer, giving really wrong impression.

Coriolis is also not playable for players, prison ships too, planets also, so i dont mind if NPC will have cobra mk4. It seems they just backed horizon.

I already pointed out that, unlike Coriolis or Farragut, Cobra Mk IV is an actual playable ship, which in my opinion should be restricted to the players only, given unique circumstances as reward for backing the Horizon content. I counted around 20-30 Cobra Mk IV NPCs in an hour, so there goes exclusivity and "rare" value.

It would be kind of a waste to not let NPCs use the ship model, the more ships that can be encountered in game the better. But I would not object to limiting the ship to specific scenario or mission types, if it is supposed to be rare.

I have never found the Imp Eagle. Plus I was not given a Cobra IV, I had to buy it. (One issue, that I was a bit vocal about at the time.)
