In a similar vein I'd like to see NPCs flying down to ports on atmospheric worlds. Just because we can't do it yet doesn't mean NPC ships need to be similarly restricted. Clearly it can be done otherwise how did we get into space in the first place?
One of the things I liked about the original was you would see Worms and Transporters going to and from the planet.
