Remove Scientists From The Game

I want dinosaur hatching, Expeditions, Research and Fossils to be simple like it was in the first game. I can't think of anywhere else scientists are needed but they shouldn't be needed for those departments.

Now that you mention the first game; I think this is one of those features that most people hate the first month or so after launch when everyone is still figuring it out. Then when enough people figure out the rhythm every thread on this will suddenly become about how the feature is "too easy" and "shallow" and how JWE should have gone deeper in the management aspects.

Still boggles my mind how much people hate the scientist system while I consider it one of the best things Frontier has done.

Its a system that can be as tedious or flexible as you make it to be. The second I saw them add time controls I knew this was going to happen, people are going to use 3x speed as much as humanly possible then complain they constantly have to do repetitive tasks. People are impatient and are using a tool as a crutch to rush research, so their scientists finish quickly and are constantly on standby. If you used the time controls more sparingly and spent more of that time designing your parks you won't notice and be bothered by them as much.

Same thing I keep hearing about people complaining about the backup generators, yet never research the power stations or secondary ranger vehicles so they just make a million stations to manage. The only one that seems to have some issues is the MVU and a simple balance pass should be able to tidy that one up too.

I think a part of it is the lack of similar games in the market at the moment. There's a big sandbox fandom that doesn't want any of the "Chaos" that is the whole point of the JP/JW franchise. There's nothing wrong with that, but they don't really have anywhere else to go atm.

I love the scientist mechanic, It's fun to manage, but streamlined enough it doesn't complicate and it ties all the gameplay together and gives managable limitations not arbitrary ones, and it feels more JP-y to have named scientists misbehaving because you've overworked them than E1's faction system
