I completely agree. I remember I tried to like Cadance when she first appeared (the episode is good), but she's just 'meh' :D
And yes, the show is very clearly built from the start for the 'Two Alicorns' thing. Every time they introduce a new Alicorn, they kinda don't know what to do with her. :D
Let's see what they do with Starlight.
