Repeat the same Guardian unlock 18 times? Really?

I realise this is quite pointless, but where did I 'bash the devs'.
My little whiteknight.

My post said:
"OP, as OA said, you will (probably) have to repeat it many more times than 'merely' 18.
I am struggling to understand why FD consider that the (average) player would welcome such a repetitive mechanic.
It would be arrogant to assume they are stupid, so I would like to understand what drives these design decisions - which now seem to permeate every new patch.
Not something FD seem keen to discuss. And it is not obvious why they would simply not explain (not justify) their reasoning."

Dev bashing and no facts at all. Well done you.

That quote is true though, as we both know having done some unlocks. Could it do with a balancing pass ?, maybe but it's really not a big deal. I've spent longer unlocking a single engineer, however I faff about and enjoy myself.

I guess whether it requires a pass, a change, or a complete overall, FD will be the judge of that, based (also) on everyone's input they deem worthy of inclusion.

If I were them I'd ignore the forum completely and go purely by player behavior. Judge it by what people do in game.

Unhappy people are the loudest. They are certainly not always right, they are not always telling the truth and they are never a majority. But they are always the loudest. You have to filter them out to get anything like a real picture.

As I said, I realised it was pointless.
Sad.

Next time you are wondering why the dev's don't communicate with us more, turn your monitor off.

Yes but as I said earlier we don't have that data, only FD do. Here on the forum, we try and post our opinions in the hope that FD consider them.

Thanks for your input. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion and everyone's opinion counts. I'm sure FD will consider yours too.

Sometimes the only thing that counts about an opinion is that it's entitled.

Sometimes the only thing that counts about an opinion is that it's entitled.

The underlying causes of many social and political problems are the refusal to allow others their opinions and the continual demand that two opposing sides grind it out against each other until they have consensus instead of opting for an easier compromise. It is our inability to recognize the valid opinions of others that precludes compromise and causes conflict.

Which has what to do with this ?.

Which has what to do with this ?.

This has to do with dismissing other people's opinions.

Why are you even here against people asking for improvements for Guardian process?

You enjoy the game. Go, play, enjoy yourself. These changes won't effect you.
As for us, we will voice our opinion, FD will consider (which they did), and we will continue enjoying the Guardian stuff once the patch comes out.

In the end, people who enjoy the game don't lurk the forums to defend every aspect of the game except they have Star Citizen syndrome (investing a lot of money and time into the game and validating all that in the forums)
or just pure trolling.

Which is what you are doing, this is trolling at best. Hats off to you, sir.

I was inviting you to move to that forum since your last comment wasn't really on topic. It was about opinions, which is what that post on that forum talks about.

You are not a mod, and I was responding to your own offtopic comment. So again what has that got to do with this ?.

Twenty hours, lol.

Again, your reply "Sometimes the only thing that counts about an opinion is that it's entitled" switched the topic from talking about guardians weapons/modules to talking about opinions. So I was suggesting you move your discussion about opinions (which you initiated) to that forum.

Cheers

Weak at best I said that in reply to :

I have no idea what you mean.
Since this, like many of your other of your posts, are simply personal attacks rather than addressing the substance of the debate, 'discussion' with you really is pointless. In fact, I would say impossible.
Not sure why you feel the need to comment on so many posts, or often the poster, even when you have nothing of substance to say other than insults...... well actually, I probably have a good idea why.

If you value polite discourse so much how come you don't do it yourself ?.

Oh, come one, not really, I've been reading the posts and there is no 'improvement for the guardian process' suggested, just:
- 'get rid of the grind' since I want the materials and data NOW, im not interested in this guardians stuff, don't make it required, it is optional.

I think you must have missed the various suggestions on improvements then. They do exist.

Not hugely surprising though, as there's this guy who posts after almost every other post to say he thinks they are wrong or something. :)

The various suggestions are mostly based on second hand imaginary fears, it's hard to rebalance something that's not a real issue.
