Playing the game themselves. You must be new in these parts of the galaxyMmmh, okay...
So, what's the best way of reporting issues? The official forum forwards to the issue tracker, and the steam forum is explicitely stated as not monitored by Frontier. So, how do they get their informations about bugs? Playing the game themself in their work breaks?
The issue tracker is utter rubbish. Nobody reads it, certainly not the devs, and even if by some miracle one of them does because they remember it's there, they certainly don't do anything about the posted bugs. This utterly ridiculous system of voting up bugs to be fixed is just pure laziness on behalf of FD, as they should be trying to fix as many bugs as possible, not deciding which ones to fix based on a few votes. Laughable
Yep. That feels rubbish. Many bugs that I reported came to complete waste. Im gonna re-report most annoying ones again - but it will also be the last time if they gonna expire again...I see they've started expiring old unconfrmed bugs. This should be interesting.
Hmm it strikes me a perfect job for a Community Manager to message things to the players. Give some feedback to bug-reporters, engage with the community, show communication is alive.Wait for the next patch before you report known (for us) bugs again... there's a very small chance they have actually being fixed by then.
Yeh, I've reposted the ones I reported in April/May, cut&paste.I see they've started expiring old unconfrmed bugs. This should be interesting.
But only because they merged or removed about 250 issues...Those stats are boring! We should be congratulating Elite for no longer being the buggiest game by fdev!
Planet Zoo : 5038 issues
Elite Dangerous: 5005 issues
I call this a win for Elite \o/
myself included too..myself included.
