Reputation requirement keeps increasing

Hey guys,new here,and fairly new to dangerous elite.

I'm trying to get into passenger missions,but I can never get my rank up enough as it keeps increasing. When I started it said I needed to be cordial for the missions, after I became cordial it needed friendly, after I became friendly it now needs allied. Idk what to do to get passenger missions because the minimum keeps raising, and I am getting very tired of just doing endless cargo runs. Sorry if this has been covered already but I have not been able to find this anywhere.

Allied is the max you can be so it's not going to get any higher from there.

Also when you dock at the station, it refreshes the mission board and takes into account your new Reputation level. So it will taunt you with missions you can't have still. : P

Ah you mean rep with faction at stations then. The thing is allied is the highest you can go so it wont go up on you after this. That said you can get passenger mission if you are lower than allied they just wont pay as well. Generally the type of mission you get wont change much at a station but have a better rep with those giving out the mission means they offer better paying ones.

Chain requirement check. Certain mission requires being allied. But being allied requires being friendly first. Being friendly requires being cordial first. So game checks your current faction rep and compares it with mission requirement. It goes like this:
- rep: neutral, check. Proceed
- rep: cordial, check. Proceed
- rep: friendly, error. Message "friendly rep required". Terminated

Also - locked missions have a rep bar next to it indicating what actual level of rep you need for those.

Passenger missions are best taken from tourist oriented stations. Tho most places will give you those missions, tourist is the primary source. If you have trouble with faction rep not high enough you can "trick" them into liking you by feeding them exploration data. For starters - google Road to Riches, enter your starting system, generate the list and fly. Visit at least 10 systems, scan indicated in RtR planets, return to your passenger station and sell all exploration data. This way you'll build reputation and earn some money. Just mind that RtR requires fuel scoop and best both scanners for max profit.
