Are there any special requirements to purchase the imperial eagle? I know the courier requires a navy rank.

Ieagle is not rank locked, just find a shipyard that has it on order and get one.
Really it's a nice little gem and I've had tons of fun with it. lately I have neglected it somewhat having moved to a Icourrier though.

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna try it out. I really want the courier but I can't find a single navy mission. I'm friendly with the empire and several minor factions (mainly by setting at nav beacons killing any wanted ship that pops up). I managed to get one fed navy mission but they all dried up as well.
Just picked up the ieagle, love it. Just turned in 350000 worth of bounties after 20 mins of setting at a nav beacon. Makes my viper mkiv feel like a dump truck.
