Newcomer / Intro RES Zones in Empty Space

Why have RES zones been moved into ring edges with empty space? Delkar 7 now has at least two RES zones outside the rings in empty space. Is there a logical reason for this?

They were never really about mining, just barrels for shooting fish in.

The question is with the new hotspots does that difference still apply?

As only an occasional miner I never considered that it outweighed the presence of all the extra ships.

I think it's stupid also, I love the rocks and doing combat in them. Sure hope it's a bug and not more stuff in Beyond to put me off.
