Rescue in the black

A lone commander on the edge of space, pushing the boundaries of his ship to explore distant systems. 47,000 light years out on the edge of the known galaxy.

A bad plot, a poor decision, a hasty move? The jump was made, a system with 1 landable planet. Check next jump, error! Jump not possible!!!! Panic!!!

Not enough materials for synthesis, arsenic needed to make the jump to the next system. A scan of the landable planet showed no arsenic - more panic!!

The tracks of the srv, showed a massive search area, blasted rocks and outcrops littered the surface of the planet. The srv and ship both showed the evidence of a search that had been going on for days.

The commander was feeling helpless, he had fuel, he had a planet to land on, but no hope of leaving this distant system until he thought of one last hope .......... The fuel rats.

I first contacted the fuel rats during the first beta of fleet carriers and after telling them of my problem, they said there was nothing really they could do. Then one rat, came up with a solution - wait for fleet carriers in the game, then a rescue could be planned. So I did, then contacted them again and so the rescue began!!

Last night 4 fuel rats began the journey, with another helping to fuel up before they left, to rescue me! They are going to bring a fleet carrier, with refulling ships to come and get me - I am amazed and thankful for their efforts!!

Go fuel rats!!

The rats stopped at Bleae Thaa KY-D b53-10 for the night with the pilot of the Fleet Carrier (Fenrishi) taking his leave to his quarters for some much needed R+R. Two of the other rats CyanRepublic, Rik079 buzzed about the ship mining for much needed fuel. This morning, a slight course change was needed to enable the rats ships to pick up refineries for their ships to make the journey easier. They are now making a slight diversion to Colonia to use their stations to pick up much needed supplies.
