Respawn and Carriers

And a pony. A cockpit pony. To play with my carrier cat.
Is the pony made of diamonds?
Every time you'd enter a station it would climb on the controls and hit boost with its paw.
After which the force of sudden acceleration rips it off the controls where it adorably attaches itself to your visor making docking even more exciting!

Not sure - can you get Bromellite from asteroids? I thought it was ring-only 🤔
Icy belt clusters exist but are considerably rarer than even metallic belt clusters, as far as I can tell. It's less likely for a belt cluster to get far enough away from the star, whereas a ring system can easily be that far out.

You'd probably be able to get Bromellite from them if you found one, though.

Here is a question for you all, I was pondering this last night. Will carriers be a point of respawn like stations are when you die or not. Imagine this scenario: you are deep into the black with your fleet of ships on your carrier 50,000 light years out (not sure how quick or efficient it would be to move a carrier out that far would be, but let's just say it could be done). You suddenly get killed in most likely some embarrassing way (falling asleep at the HOTAS for example) you're dead and hit the rebuy screen. Now, your carrier is the last "station" you docked at, would you respawn there, or would you only be able to respawn at the last "official" station you visited... 50,000 light years away from your carrier. (Perhaps this is why they have the "schedule" feature of jumping carriers remotely) would your carrier be able to fuel itself or will you have your go all the way back, then back home again with your carrier in tow?

Lots of questions to be answered with these new carriers, and I am quite interested!
That is tricky, gosh.
I suspect for gameplay they'll let you respawn at the carrier but that does break the immersion a bit - should the carrier have the ability to reconstitute a whole new ship (even if it can manage repairs)? You could, perhaps, spawn at the carrier in another of your ships - but then you lose the previous one? Perhaps you can get it back when you next dock (if you paid the insurance cost)? This is all tricky. I suspect the easiest is simply, yes, you respawn at the carrier if you pay the insurance cost..

So many questions :)

Mine is do we get cargo storage as standard? I don't recall seeing anyone asking - there are a lot of carrier threads though :D
Some basic cargo capacity at the carrier would be handy and mostly answer all those "I want storage calls", it no longer becomes a station side issue and would tend to simplify things while being useful. Anyway, lots of wait and see.
