Restore All Paintjobs in the Store

Looks like this thread's request is being well and truly ignored now that paints are once again being removed to generate false scarcity and leverage FOMO.

Frontier, please, please reverse this strategy and reinstate everything. Price rises make sense, we don't always like them or how much they are, but inflation is a thing that can't be ignored. Locking content away from customers willing to pay just doesn't seem like a move that a company who respects their player base should be doing.

What's frustrating is that the past year of Frontier Unlocked and game updates has shown that you guys really do want what's best for the Elite community; can you give that memo to the team running the store please?

I'm still trying to understand the logic, or rather the lack thereof, behind randomly removing hundreds of paintjobs from the store.

How do you want to improve the financial condition of your company when you withdraw hundreds of offers from the digital store overnight, I'm sorry, but someone must be stupid and that's it, because there's no other way to explain it. Yes, the money from these digital items is not the main source of income, but it always provides income.

Increasing prices is still understandable, although it's a tough decision, but understandable. What's more strange is keeping your mouth shut and ignoring it as if it wasn't an issue. At least if they said on the livestream "we removed some of these paintjobs, because yes, haha, period".

I used to paint my ships in one color or a color divided according to tasks, and gradually bought more color packs for the next ships, now I can't do that. Will you bring back these paintjobs? What will happen if I bring them back? Is your world going to collapse on your head or what? Will the hens stop laying eggs? Will the Earth start spinning the other way? What's the problem? Are you afraid of the influx of profits? Cabaret, I don't know what to call it.

What strikes me as most illogical about this is, that I would even be inclined to counter the complaints about the price hikes being excessive, but the retraction or withholding of so many readily sellable products is at odds with the most obvious motivation for increasing prices.

Are people oblivious to what's happening in the real world lately? Inflation rates for essential consumer goods and services not seen within living memory in countries formerly seen as beacons of stability must have consequences for the operation of a company like this. The recent increases in Frontier Store pretty much reflect these rates. Are the same people raising their voices about prices for, say, a pound of butter, or is everybody's income enough to shrug that off? Maybe the sheer numbers in ARX stemming from their conversion rate make it look much worse, but then you haven't experienced living in a country where the official currency counts in different powers of ten.

Since virtual cosmetics in a simulation game are about the least essential things a creature needs these days, receding sales revenues were probably foreseen and feared. The new ships certainly compensated for this with their momentum and came at just the right time, but it seems like a gamble to pick the same moment to handicap yourself again and snuff out the possibility for much of the pre-existing stock to contribute. Weird, really.
