They fight against it for the principal of having a balance to this game and to have PVP activity (end game) to actually have content, they have no horse in the race, some of them have no idea what PP is.
I know man, after being here for on these forums and met with people that intentionally try to hold this back. Almost every single one of them dont even take part in it. Maybe Agony Aunt would be the only one Ive seen that has a group they belong to. And even they would like to see some changes to PowerPlay atleast. BGS, we dont see eye to eye on. But out of all the lads here that fight against it.
I see Agony Aunt actually taking part in it sometimes.
Meh anyways, hopefully Fdev sees through all that. Its really annoying watching all these threads with the same people in them. And they dont even use those features.
I did it a bit in the bubble for a while in between PVP. And am currently in Colonia playing around with the BGS out there. Its really neat and in-depth. You can see more happening with out there than in the bubble. Still, not being able to PVP against the other player factions because they pick the mode I feel is a problem.
If they restricted those activities to open play. Then DIRECT PVP would have a place in this game besides salt. Or the player created PVP Hub.
This could also transfer to powerplay just as easy. With some diminishing returns with powerplay. Kind of like when you get closer to 100% in the BGS for a faction it gets harder to reach it so people cant exploit it. Essentially the amount of merits would decrease per kill(set on a timer of course.) Same thing could apply to the BGS when player factions are tied to it. Player kills mean a bit more for influence with a CoolDown the same as above.
Give PVP its place, and Restrict certain areas of the game. And all this "griefer/carebear" Comes to an end because it would have meaning.
Or would you guys fighting it rather it stay like it is now? And Me and Algo will just go out and farm salt and create videos for ya'll to complain about? Up to you (not really).
