Return to Jurassic Park science upgrades

You know how in the default JWE campaign, the upgrades you put on the research, expedition, and fossil centers builds up and carries over across all the islands. In the RtJP campaign, does it work the same for 93 Nublar and 93 Sorna? Or are they both just their own little stand alone islands since you can't ever travel back to Sorna (which I still wish they would change and make it like the island navigation from the main campaign)

I feel like that'd need some testing, but the standalone theory seems most likely.

It's been a while since I've played it, but I seem to remember that unlocks and research cleared on Nublar carries over to Sorna, and vice versa.

I know that research done at any point in the campaign is always carried over. What I'm asking is specifically the upgrades on the research, expeditions, and fossile modules on the visitor center. For example if I load them all up with the speed upgrades on Sorna, will I still benefit from the speed upgrades once I'm sent back to Nublar?

Ah, like that. I seem to remember them being separate entities. So if you apply upgrades to a research center on Sorna it won't carry over to a research center on Nublar.
