I have updated the game and hit play, only to have the game look for a non existent VR headset. Even closing the box and loading again results in the same "looking for VR" message, what I am looking for assistance with resetting everything, (display info, flight controls and so on) without losing my commanders information.

Make sure VR is disabled in Options?
Also try running initially without Horizons (if installed) which is what I had to do to get the game working again after a rage uninstall/reinstall.

Does it not still load even though it's giving a VR message?
Also, is it really the launcher that is giving a VR message, or some other software?
i would download drkai's edprofiler software which can launch the game in vr mode, or disable vr mode, and see if that helps.
