Newcomer / Intro Returning to Dromi??

Hi all!

I am fairly new to this game, had it a week. i been dping well and i recently took on a cargo job that inadvertantly took me out of the Dromi system. It then failed my mission and told me my System permit had been removed. I understand this is kind of a way to get people out exploring and away from the starter system but i wanted to know if its possible to get that permit back anyway? The stations at Mawson etc in that area all have consumables/comodities i need and i really want to be able to dock there again and trade :(

Any help in how i get that permit back?

Oh wait i just saw a reply in a old er post about this. Appears once your out of the newbie syatem you cant go back for good reasons.
Shame, a lot of comodities i need are in Dromi and Matet :(

You'll find things are a lot easier outside the noob zone, better equipment and ships and many more different experiences.

You can always clear your save and start again if you really want to paddle a bit longer - things are a lot easier to do the second time around.

After 3 months in the beginners zone I finally left it yesterday because I was frustrated with my D rated Cobra equipment.
But I feel you.
When I was about a week into the game I also took a mission that sent me out of the beginners zone.
I got scared and just started all over again from scratch.
Since yesterday I got myself stationed at in the G 203-47 system.
It seems a quiet place and as I've been doing bounty hunter lately its been very profitable.
I don't know how it is for mining, though.
Feel free to contact me on pvt if you need more newbie tips.

Thank you Para and Caty! Its so nice knowing i am not alone and that being a newbie isnt a crime or shameful hehe. I guess everyone has been there at the start. I have kind of took a deep breathe and just said to myself " ya got to just accept it girl! take it on the chin, be brave and roll with it" so i am just carefully choosing missions i feel i can do and being low key. I aint gonna give up. I will have an adventure even if its a nervous one hehe. :)

Just to clarify ... the requirement to enter the starter systems is not to have any rank in combat, exploration or trade. Once you gain the first rank in those, it'll remove your starter systems permit and a bunch of systems won't be available to you.

I left the starter system a couple of days ago with ranks Merchant in trade and Dangerous in combat.
You only lose the starter systems permit if you land in another system outside the starter zone.

Well done! I thought maybe the starter zone gives a faster progression than normal, but your number is pretty normal for a Dangerous rank. I got Elite at 10,700 but a number as low as 7,500 is reported possible if one goes after high-ranked target only.

I've been camping in a new system since yesterday.
Yesterday I went to the local HiRES and made 5M cr in less than 2 hours.
Today I went there again and there were no police ships around. Crime was rampant.
I logged out and in a couple of times and it was the same. No police.
Then I went to another system and came back and went to the same HiRES and made only 400K cr in more than an hour.
Are things usually chaotic like this outside the beginners zone?

The amount and size of targets can differ noticeably between sessions in a RES. What you report seems a bit extreme but not impossible.

Only when they aren’t worse or better.
