Yeah software can mitigate this - it is the distortion profile that needs correcting.

I have experience of this from the Vive Pro lens mod (Check out the SteamVR Undistort tool by SenserColtu - https://github.com/sencercoltu/steamvr-undistort)

Like i said early Pimax profile was bloody awful (swimmy, distorted, warping) but now its really dialled in.

Sounds promising. Beside this i have no other problem with it, and its my main HMD beside the Quest at this point =)
