Revisiting my old discoveries and adding them to EDSM

I've switched PCs and no longer have access to the local journal entries of my CMDR on the old system.
I'm trying to revisit old discoveries I made and upload them using EDDisovery and E:D Market Connector to EDSM.

However if I've already mapped the planets in the past, non of these tools seem to be registering them and the data isn't sent to EDSM.
Is there a way to fix this?

As an example please see the attached screenshots and the EDSM link:

Short answer: no

Scan events only happen when you FSS a body, or when you map it. After that, revisiting a system won't regenerate those events so none of the tools can see them.

Consider automating a backup for your current journals so you don't have a similar problem in future. Also, consider using Journal Limpet which will try to back up your journals automatically - you just need to remember to log in once a month (it should send you an email to remind you).

One more question. I've downloaded a bunch of tools trying to figure out a way and noticed that systems I visited are already registered on Spansh starting with my 6th discovered ELW. I don't remember what happened back then only that I used this tool for the neutron highway but it seems like my exploration data was sent there.

It looks like EDDiscovery can pull data from Spansh is there perhaps a way to push that data from EDDiscovery to EDSM?

As an example:

You might be able to get the journals from the old PC and upload them manually to edsm/inara.....

All sites pull data from the EDDN as far al I know. You can set EDMC and EDD to sync with sites you want. It will do this for new data.

You will need something similar to a API key

As an example:

Sadly not. Data from spansh isn't attributed to a commander, it's anonymous. EDDiscovery can upload your journals to both EDSM and EDDN (which ends up on spansh, amongst other places), but that requires the journals you've lost; it can't and won't upload data from spansh to EDSM.

To be honest, I'm just trying to use the EDJP to score and rank my ELWs. Can you perhaps share how the scores are generated so I can manually calculate what score/rank they would get?

I'm guessing the best way to get the data to EDSM would be to get another account, park it on my FC and drag them around after me in the galaxy as I revisit the old ELWs and scan them using the other account.

"it's complicated"
I've not updated it in some time, actually, as I have plans to move it to an Observatory Plugin. Those will require journals, but I may add an option to perform a lookup on a spansh system so if your data is there you'd be able to score them that way. No timescale on it though as I have a lot more to get done making plugins work better in latest Observatory release.

(Also, at this point EDSM should be considered in maintenance mode. For actual data uses, spansh is far superior. I certainly wouldn't bother getting another account just to populate EDSM - plenty more ELWs out there to be discovered!)
