On a serious note...I'll leave when I'm damn well good and ready to leave.

It's the Feds. They have guns. Hopefully you have at least shields and speed if you want to defy them and you're near the deep space hot spots.

On the plus side, if you see feds in deep space, you'll know you're close to where they think Aliens might show up.

Yeah; sounds like old Mr. Karl Devene has spent his life flying a desk in the Universal Cartographic HQ and never seen the bridge of a spaceship. Damned desk jockeys.... they don't know the deep black and the call of Witch Space.

Go out and explore... assume the risks that come with discovery!

Reverse psychology...take a swipe at explorers to make them defiant enough to go exactly where they want us to go. With so many at jacques, how many are actually here right now? This is actually a way bigger region than I thought it was...helluva lotta ground to cover.

The risk starts the moment ye leave populated space and start aiming fer neutron clusters instead of avoiding them.

Gotta say it's proving profitable too...ELW and half a dozen water worlds and terras later and I literally just started actually concentrating instead of bollockin around in the srv [wacky]

I did give the Jacques exploration data CG a few thoughts last night but I can't do it.

ETA to Jacques in Star Dancer would be approximately three weeks based on my deep exploration mission structure (21LY max range and I usually do 350LY sittings with a view to covering 1000-1500LY's per day).

25kLY's to Jacques? I just can't put that together at the moment (Real LifeTM!).

I actually don't think I will have enough free time to do Jacques at all until December or early 2017.

I'm just going to keep hitting nebula local to The Bubble on weekends.

However this hunt for alien evidence may have me divert on the way back from the Witch Head/Rigel after this weekend.

I'll take Mr Devene's statement under advisement but I need to explore!

I have to admit, I had no idea what the story was until about 2 weeks ago. Hit witch head on my way to bernards and hit a solid wall of unknown permit required systems. I diverted and went fer heart and soul so thought it would be rude not to, surely. Now that I'm here anyway and it's actually on route to where I was going anyway...still outward bound to the very outer arms where the stars start to thin out.

Loose sorta plan was to go to the very end and stare into the void where there are no stars...then head back upto the core. Taking the scenic route ^^

I think, when we get 2.2, we should take the good Doctor for a ride out there into the deep black and show him how it's done and why..........
