I signed on last night to continue my plot down the Sag arm from Beagle Point and catch up with Frawd... the idea being to wave him goodbye and good luck as I carried on to the bubble for the last time.

That all came to an end when I got a call from Baroness Galaxy to help a stranded commander stuck in the abyss without jumponium and a missing SRV. An almost complete about face for me and just over 3,500LY away... but how can you say no?

Easy I thought (completely forgetting how bad the abyss is) it'll take a couple of hours tops!

I'd like to paraphrase Marvin at this point:

The first 1000 light years were terrible
The second were even worse
Things went downhill after that.

Some mad plotting and a couple of boosted jumps later, I ended last night just 450 light years away but in a dead end. I signed on this morning to get a quick session in to get me out of the dead end... I saw the plot last night but was too tired to carry on... but the Servers are going down, so that's going to have to wait.

One great moment was suddenly finding a lane of dwarf red stars - over 450 light years of them and a full plot along the whole length, all going in the right direction! I'm within spitting distance of the goal system, now we just have to pray for a planet with the right materials.

I will be singing the song :)

Well, it's a bit of laugh :) Not actually sure if this has been tried before either! I know we got Frawd to BP, but to prospect so someone can jump out of a system they're stuck in? Have we done that before?

That's the thing Frawd :(

With this rescue it puts me back over 10,000LY from you and in the wrong direction. I really want to be back for the SEPP CGs, so I had to make the choice of complete this rescue or meet up with you :(

Once done with this, I'm going to be heading straight back to the bubble, sell my data with an engineer and SEPP then get ready to help.

No worries Cmdr...I'm sure we'll have opportunities to meet up in the future. I won't make it back to the bubble for several months I suspect...you can greet me when I get there :)

I'm 75LY from the target system now, and even premium jumps can't get me there :(

Looking around I *think* I can plot a path there but it's going to need multiple boosted jumps and I've no way of being sure. What a place to get stuck.

Just don't get stuck yourself! Do you know what route your stuck CMDR used to get there?

(this were having your Flight Logs on EDSM comes in handy)

I've got a route back if I need it myself, but I can't see how he got to where he is without multiple boosted jumps in
