I was pretty tempted by this when Ars reported on it back in June. After they posted another article yesterday I finally pulled the trigger.
I had time to do the first tutorial, after completion of which I was offered the opportunity to continue playing in free-flight mode. So I did. Then I pressed some buttons which I apparently shouldn't have because some lights started flashing and a siren started blaring. Presumably the next tutorial will explain which buttons not to press.
Based on my very limited playtime I could see this being a good purchase. It has the same chilled-out vibe as Lunar Flight.
Of course neither game is (going to be) for everyone.
