Route Plotter is TRASH

clearly depicted in title...

EDIT*
im on a rescue mission, to rescue someone that I SENT on a route THAT IVE PREVIOUSLY TRAVELED... aka... IVE BEEN ON THIS ROUTE BEFORE... yet i STILL have to manually plot 3 to 4 jumps at a time, because ROUTE PLOTTER cant plot any further. IT TAKES 4 minutes to plot 3 jumps!!!

EDIT2*
so... they are officially rescued... and now i try to plot a route HOME. NOPE, failed at 22%. Looks like a step by step retracing... AGAIN!!! WHATS THE POINT OF EXPLORERS, if their data cant be USED???

Are you right out on the Rim, or somewhere near the core?

The route plotter always used to struggle in areas of very high star density, because it was over-thinking it's optimization - but I'm guessing you wouldn't need to rescue someone from there.

This is very unhelpful.

Since the Route Plotter works fine on everyone's machine except yours, I would hazard a guess that the problem is on your machine.

So, how about some helpful info:

* Your system specs.
* The steps required to recreate the issue.
* A screenshot of the issue.
* A video of the problem.

Wait a sec! There's a dedicated forum for exactly these kinds of issues:

Meaning ?

... leave the bubble... go visit Hawking's Reach, or Jellyfish Nebula

That is almost as unhelpful as your original post.

Firstly, LOL - you just told a guy with 28k first discovered systems on EDSM to leave the Bubble :D

Secondly, have you got any route filters set? Sometimes they can cause the planner to struggle a bit, so maybe clear them?

Thirdly, as somebody already said, raise a bug report with the route you're trying to plot so that FDev can investigate it.
