Hm, that's interesting. As far as I can tell, route plotting the core has been fixed on the PC since 2.2 (as far as I can tell), didn't expect the errors to pop up on consoles. In that case, the method should still work though.
As far as I know the method still works. I have noticed that it does slow down especially as jump ranges increases. The last run I did I had one plot I choose a different star because it was taking so long, during the same run I ended up plotting to a star close to Sagittarius A* because it was taking so long even though I was only 6 or 7 jumps away under 300ly. Most of the plots that I did plotted probably around 10 maybe 20 seconds
Most of the time I am plotting close to my magic number and also I will also be plotting using the filter
