Route Plotting is completely ruined

So I took notes doing my CG trade run. Going empty to buy my shelters, I had no problems at all using fastest route. There were a couple of brown dwarfs along the way as well. However, when I left with a hold full of shelters, I couldn't make the 3rd jump. Fully laden and full tank I can only go 13.75LY, the game decided on the 3rd jump I should be able to make a 14.6ly jump. So I had to go back to the galaxy map, recalculate route and from that point on, every second jump it would lose the route. Now the only work around I found for that was to open the galaxy map after every jump and it would remember the route without me having to recreate it. Otherwise every other jump I'd have to plug the destination back in and recalculate. This happened before I encountered any brown dwarfs and all stars were targetable.

I have not tried efficient route. I don't really want to have an extra 15ish jumps. But I may try it later to see if that keeps the route when I have cargo. NOTE: I only have problems when I have cargo. It's like the game is planning the routes based on your ship constantly shedding weight.

just had it happen again after a long period of it working fine.

refit my orca for a mining expedition to finish a contract that was close to expiring and my nav dropped my route

every

single

jump

to sum it up, it was a 21 jump trip, both ways. thank god i had a fuel scoop otherwise i would have never gotten the damn thing done. didn't help that i had a pirate following me the whole way because he "heard rumors." after the 15th interdiction attempt he promptly got mining lasered to bits and got a c3 cannon shoved up his exhaust port.

I think they would have rolled back the new route plot code by now if they could.. I get the feeling we are stuck with it over the holiday.. ive tried to find a workaround.. that's pretty much don't touch the cargo slider. or the eco or fastest checkbox. and try and plot to stations.. that's no good if your outside the bubble though.

Same problem here. Horizons and 64-bit base game have course plotting completely borked. Route disappears or lasts couple jumps before vanishing.
32-bit client seems to work nicely, except with those annoying 2 minute hyperjump bugs, witch usually clear themselves by quickly disconnecting and reconnecting network cable.
(And no, no problems with my own network or ISP's connection to enywhere else).

Try switching to economic route and back, this seemed to clear it for me earlier. Need to try that again in my Python as that seems to be the ship I have most issues with.

The problem is plotting a route in the galaxy map - you'll lose your route after the first couple of jumps or so regardless of carying cargo or not. However, if you go into systems map and route to a station, your overall route will work as normal.

But in the systems map there is another bug, as you can on ocassion play un-anchored menu - it has a tendancy to wander around and not let you select the route command. I bet you that's caused by the increase in planetary landing info.

I was trying to route only from station to station and had no luck there.
Then it seemed like I had an improvement if I only clicked on route planning for an object and not the selector icon but that wasn't the case. No luck there.

It's also possible that it's part of a Thargoid plot, designed to cause confusion and chaos, right before the invasion starts.

It crossed my mind that with the event being targeted at one group of haulers and people to defend them, that nav paths are borked for cargo carriers to encourage them to nav lock to fighters without cargo.

Same Situation here. Plotted Course vanishes after exactly 2 Jumps, with and without Cargo, tested with Cobra Mark IV and Conda. Different Routes, different Systems. Everytime 2 Jumps and boom. I didn´t have changed anything, wether in my System nor in the Game.

The multi-jump plotting losing the route is a known issue. I found that a workaround is to use the economical route instead of the fastest route. Doesn't seem to lose the route but GAWD it's a grind trying to run rare route 1 using the most economical route. The silver lining was I bought a Detailed Surface Scanner and made a killing on Cartography Data (much more than the 4 tons of cargo it cost me). Now to do many varied rare routes to try to find new unexplored systems (The Carol Joy is down to 16T with the DSS replacing the 2E cargo rack). Smuggling is shot until the fix both the Ship Scan Notification Bug (also a known issue inn the list) and the fastest route plotting memory issue so she's an Explorer of sorts for now.

So the wife let me unwrap one present early since she was tired of me complaining about my graphic card issues ;) I have not had this problem yet with the new video card. It's an Nvidia and the other was a Radeon. Not sure if that helps. But I have done a run with full cargo with no problems, with the other card I would have had a problem with 1 run. I'll do more testing tomorrow. I only did one run today as the rest was busy getting my Federal ranks up.

Haven't experienced this with or without cargo. Hate to be one of the "I have no issue" people but... I have no issue. Doesn't mean you don't of course. ;)

5 jump smuggling mission, had to re-plot 3 times.
Doing this while trying to avoid pirates and police is nerve-wracking.
