Running of the Gnomes - WoW event

Tomorrow night at 2300 UTC (midnight BST) I'm going to be taking part in a special event in World of Warcraft. This will be the tenth occasion of "Running of the Gnomes" which takes place on one US realm to raise money for breast cancer awareness. As I mainly play on EU realms, I am using a trial account so that I can be part of this great experience. I have created a Gnome Mage there - complete with pink hair - and raised it to the level 20 where it is capped due to being a trial account.

I am really looking forward to participating in this event, which is reported to have always been a lot of fun! Bad timing considering the current "climate" for Blizzard.

Really? I don't know. All I know is I love playing WoW and also supporting breast cancer awareness, so when I read about this event I just knew I wanted to participate. I certainly don't let politics interfere with my leisure time. The climate is fairly sunny here at the moment.

As for the timing, October has been breast awareness month for a number of years now, and I always try to do something to raise funds myself as well as wearing pink on 'Wear it Pink' day later in the month. Apparently this will be the 10th gnome run which is increasing in popularity as more people find out about it.
