My favourite bug might get you out of trouble sometime, it's saved me at least 3 times since I bought ED four months ago.

If you've swapped ships in a station and find you can't do what you need to do for whatever reason, like a mission, or your jump range isn't enough to let you leave the system with so much cargo:

From the right hand menu, the inventory tab, you can select cargo to get rid of / jettison without incurring a fine EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE STILL DOCKED IN THE STATION !

Thought I'd post a few random tidbits of knowledge that took me a surprisingly long time to learn. Feel free to add more if you like. 1) if you deploy landing gear it switches the left and right fire triggers to left and right thrusters to help with landing (that's on my 360 controller...ymmv)...

So yesterday I found out that you can actively use your discovery scanner. Haven't tried it yet but there are 2 dozen systems that are ''unknown" because I didn't know/read that info. Anything you wish to share?
