I made it!!!
Screenies/logs to follow. I've not taken screenies yet as I Rift it.
Scanned Source 2, turned around to Sag A again a a bleddy armed Conda jumped in system.
Plapped my pants. Turned out he was a thouroughly nice fellow.
Then another Asp showed. He plapped as there were 2 peeps already there.

Well met new friends :-]

I finally made it after 6 months (don't have a lot of time to play :().
By the time I get back to civilization, Half Life 3 will be out :D

The goal I wanted to do since I had the game is now done, it's time to find the next one. Maybe getting back alive for the moment ;)

Great achievement CMDR!!! Unfortunately, you are not the first one to make it on a Diamond Back Explorer! But I do believe you are the second!! Repped for effort!!! And that very nice finding!!

CMDR Chance arrived to Sag A* on June 15th, on a DBE for the first time. He registered in the Buckyball Race but hasn't reported here.

The trip was a little tedious, but from time to time you find some beautiful view so it's worth it.
And you can listen music while doing it, AC/DC, Metallica and animes opening/ending are great :D

I made it back a lot quicker than my trip out... Only a couple of days and 17000 ly in 1 day! I got just over 25 Mcr, but didn't hit the next rank as I thought I might, since the thresholds have changed.

I painted my asp black, and am keeping it at Founders' World as a souvenir of the trip, after stripping it down to the barest hull.

I'm 83% towards Pioneer so I am very tempted to go on another voyage of discovery :). I've bought a cobra for the job, in order to avoid duplicating ships.

1.5 months to get there!

On my slightly battered Asp Explorer.
Took me 1.5 months to get there (as a working parent I have precious little free time).
Now I only have to get back :-D

Left Lembava 2/7/3301 21:00. Laid up for the first night at Jaques Station.
Arrived Sgr A 2/8/3301 04:32. So one calendar month travelling.
Actual flight time = 82 Hours.
Systems Visited = 1665.
Earth like worlds = 11.
Vessel = Asp.
Shields, weapons, 2 x AFMU, extra fuel tank for 96 tons fuel.
Hull = 99%.
Power Plant = 97%.
Life Support = 95%.
Obligatory happy snaps for the folks back home.
Famous last words: Getting here is only half the fun.
Planning on taking my time getting back. Aiming to return to Jaques Station early October to celebrate my birthday. And my forthcoming promotion to Elite Explorer. Live in hope.
