Saitek x56 joystick twist broke is anyone got the stick that screws into base unit

Damn twist action broke on the stick. Throttles fine but stick is knackered the spring snapped and sheared the plastic lugs too.
So if anyone has one that's broken but the twist yaw still works and I'm able to screw it into the still working base unit, id very much appreciate it.
Would pay as well.

Twist is what usually breaks on those, so it might be hard to find a replacement. Supposedly it got better after Logitech took over.

I recommend using yaw-into-roll to circumvent needing the twist (or get pedals). I have flown with yaw-into-roll since 2018 sometime.

Yeah cool but I'd sooner just swap out one. I've found one stateside and will try and get it on eBay.

I can't afford a new setup.
The yaw is just loose now. Unplayable. Tried without it but can't aim at all.

You can turn off yaw entirely, then use the yaw-into-roll setting to get at least a slow yaw going.

I can possibly help you out.

I have a Logitech (grey) x56 that has developed some sort of glitch. At random intervals, whilst having no input, it suddenly goes to, say, the galaxy map or the left screen or any other thing it feels like doing. I've had it apart a few times but can't figure out what's going on. Now I can't get the stick back together properly, mainly because I can't be bothered to continue to faff around with it. The hotas still works, including the yaw but I'm not using it anymore.

If you want it, either just the stick or the whole thing (throttle, stick and stick base) then pm me. I don't want anything but the postage for it.

Ps I may not be on here for a while so don't panic if I don't get back to you real soon. It's yours if you want it otherwise it's going down the tip.

That's often a sign of not getting enough power from the USB ports though. The stick might be fine.

The wiring loom degenerated in mine which caused problems just like this.
