Hi guys. really hope i'm being a dummy here...! (Its the most likely reason, tbh)
I just bought a Saitek X65F. (Yeh, its old, but a new one. I live in Kuwait, and HOTAS availability here is almost zero - It took me all day to find this one)
So, there appears to be a few controller settings I'm trying in ED, stuff like 'Keyboard & mouse', Generic Joystick', 'Empty', etc. So, I'm going into the 'Generic Joystick' setup, and trying to map the Hat button on the joystick to thrust up, down, left and right - but when I enter on that command in ED, and press the hat, ED doesn't recognise the movement of the hat.
So, OK, I think - lets just map a key to the command (?) And try to use the programming aspect of the x65 - so the x65 will simulate a key? (If that's what its for?) But actually, ED says Move 'Axis', and doesn't respond when I type the 'R' key for example, as it seems to be expecting some kind of analogue axis input?
I also tried to input that movement on 'Keyboard & mouse', and 'Custom' - they all seem to expect an analogue 'Axis' input, and the joystick hat isn't recognised...
Help....!!!
