Salland's Adventure Zoo

The first step in the tower crane is the foundation and the mast. I have made these in modules so that I can later assemble the crane to the desired height. Since this crane exceeds 30 meters, it is mandatory to install an elevator in the Netherlands.

This is the final step I spent on the interior of the restaurant. I have added details such as plants, food, and lighting. Additionally, the last space has received an arcade room. The name 'Bake&Play Lunchroom' is named after a content creator called Bake & Play

A raised plant border has been installed around the restaurant and terrace. At a later stage, the same plants will be planted as those I have already planted on the rest of the square. To store materials and other tools, I have placed fencing around the ventilation system.

I think that if Planet Construction had been released, I probably would have made a zoo. :ROFLMAO:
In that case I do really hope they will release Planet Construction one day!

Also nice details put in again! Seeing this I would hope that it will be possible on same day to create things like this ánd have a zoo without your PC crashing only thinking about how hard it will need to run... Or a crossover from multiple games. I mean Cities Skylines with Planet Zoo/Planet Coaster would be the best ever. Having cars driving though your city and parking at that restaurant at the end of the day when the have visited your zoo and finally go to their appartment or the hotel to book a room...

I have to say that my PC hasn't crashed yet. The only thing that crashed for me was Planet Zoo itself, and I couldn't access the map anymore. Fortunately, others were able to help me with this problem.

I would love to see a multi-game combining Planet Coaster, a resort, and a zoo. So, I'm really curious about what PlanCo 2 will bring, as I have some fun ideas for it. A real city isn't necessary for me, which might sound strange coming from someone currently building part of a city. But I do think good infrastructure for the parking lot is important.

In this update, I’m working on the point visible above the cabin, also known as the Tower Peak or Apex. The jib ties will later be attached here. I’ve also started working on a section of the counter-jib.

The restaurant is now also furnished with outdoor furniture. Since the business has just opened or is about to open, it has been decorated festively. I placed some clutter near the storage area of the ventilation system and the restaurant. Additionally, the plant border has been planted the same way as the rest.

The final section of the back of the tower crane has been constructed. This section contains the counterweights, the main winch, and the motors. It is also connected to the tower peak by means of the jib ties.

In this update, I will place the different borders I want to use in the square. On the left side of the restaurant, you reach the entrance to the zoo, and on the right, the entrance to the museum.

My mind continues to be blown away every time I come to this thread. I can't even build a venue this detailed in Sims, because I lack the patience and eye for realism. If a room is too large it remains mostly empty, because I never know what to put in the middle. 😭

That museum looks gargantuan! I'm sure you already have a plan for how it's going to look, but I'm feeling low-key anxiety at the size of it!

Thank you for this nice comment. It indeed takes a lot of time and patience to create details. However, in my view, it’s precisely these details that bring a setting or building to life. The box you see is purely an indicator to show where I want to place a building, so I know how I want the paths to flow around it. For the museum, I also don’t plan to create an interior, as in the storyline, the building hasn’t yet been set up as a museum. However, Planet Coaster 2 is now throwing a wrench in the works, as I’ll be working on that soon too, so this project will probably be put on the back burner for now.

Too bad to hear that you will probably put this on a hold. But since you are working for years on this city, do you have a goal? Some vision you have in mind maybe of how you want this to be eventually?

Yes, it’s indeed a shame that I have to put this on the back burner, and I definitely regret it. These games simply take a lot of time, and personally, I’m more of an amusement park enthusiast than a zoo fan.

The goal was indeed to create a zoo. As you can see in the photos, the location for the entrance is already visible. The zoo itself is, of course, meant to be a themed zoo.
