I can confirm that this has in fact not been fixed with the server update launched yesterday.

Since server update yesterday, I took 2 salvage missions, both on the same planet. I completed one, but the second mission had to be abandoned - the planet in the navigation panel was highlighted in blue, but there was no location.Hey, I think this should be fixed as mentioned above - if not please let me know
Same here, my strike rate is worse.

... it looks like missions asking to retrieve item from wreckage are still bugged, there is not mission POI generated for them. Please see images below:
As you can see there is quite much weird things happening with this type of mission. That mission point on fourth image appeared after I landed on random crash site (lvl3) and was related to mission because it vanished after I abandoned that mission. I cannot access this report now for some reason, I saw it’s confirmed but when click on link it shows “This issue could be not loaded “

Took one salvage mission yesterday and two salvage missions today to retrieve a component from wreckage. All three had to be abandoned since the wreckage sites would never spawn.
Update 5 broke more things than it was intended to fix, it's just rediculous. I got Odyssey prior to #4 and I was like why is everyone complaining, this is great! Then 5 came and my joy just went out the window.

I can confirm, this is definitely not fixed. I just took an on-foot salvage mission a few minutes ago and yet again, there's no signal sources for it at the planet I'm told to fly to. I had the same thing happen yesterday, after the server update.
At this point, I'm no longer going to take missions that don't go to an established settlement. It seems like any mission that asks you to fly to a signal source (as opposed to a settlement) on-foot has a chance of not spawning.
