There are not many games which can show an example of decently written villians or heroes. With hero-like games its more or less simple: somewhere there is an evil force and the hero with high moral stanrarts, courage and luck eventually prevails. In yongth we had ~this experience when first played Elite - after few decades we finally discovered "who was that hero" we were playing.

At the same time even lesser amount of games can explain "what does anti-hero means". Methods or motivation of which can be treated by many as unacceptable but at the end of the day: its gonna be hard to deny their effectiveness.
Compiled a vid as a sign of gratitude to Frontier for making one of best lore and plot of known sci-fi universes. Been a Battlestar Galactica fan for eternities but never expected to be involved into something mysterious like Elite has. Azimuth/Salvation's saga.. is a masterpiece. The whole thing dragged us into old days of previous parts, where everything was clear. Mostly. And finding out the opposite years later - adds immersive chills. That's a drill. The mystery, the desire and the search.
Thank you Frontier o7
