i have this working with rift-cat and cardboard, (Samsung S8) gear vr is in the post.

Double posts is a known bug with the board software, could very well be completely out of your hands.
I have the Gear VR at home but my S7 doesn't sit very well in it without docking it in the micro USB stick, but plugging it in will automatically start Oculus Home unless I'm rooting the phone, which I'm very much against.

did you try with vridge for gear vr yet?

wifi usb dongle,
win 10.

it all works to the point of the game and the riftcat gear vr app just keeps saying awaiting streaming and the phone is conected to the app on pc no problem and i add the game in riftcat games i pointed it to the launcher exe file but dnt want to stream

once you have a steam key, you should be able to launch riftcat, hook up your phone, launch steam vr, then launch elite vr from steam.
on a side note, i have a cheap usb wifi dongle plugged into my pc, i use this as a hotspot to link the phone to, kills all the lag!
No, I couldn't get it to work with anything else than TrinusVR... But I haven't been fiddling with it since then.
yes its working i just need to get the quality up a bit migh use tether it but man its smooth on a s7 thanks guys need to buy vridge as well thank you very much for helping me out guys
